We book fortnightly to meet with family for Sunday lunch, best value.
Great place to eat, relaxed environment , lovely staff, chef is awesome, really good menu, my favourite place to eat
Salad/vegie bar was very basic - needs extending to be worth the $15 pricetag if this is the only thing a person wants to eat.
great value, we attend every Sunday fortnight
Staff were very friendly, great service. But if a wait for meals though
Friendly good value good service
Booking system needs to be checked on a regular basis. Really good idea but I used it 5 hours before our booking to find that our booking wasn't known about when we got there. Staff were really good being able to seat us. Also our meals came out a lot later than our children's 30-45 mins after.
Bit overpriced things could be cheaper.
Meat and pork was a bit tough could hardly cut it
We were disappointed on the service due the wait of just over an hour. It wasn't particularly busy and was given no apology for the wait, assuming its the normal. My teenage boys were keen to eat what was in the buffet while they waited but manage to keep that intake to a minimum. We got our meals and they were starting to pack up the bar for the night as other guests were beginning to gather their items to leave. Made the booking online for 630 and were eating by 745. Overall we spent for the night close to 200 dollars and were on the look out for a new decent pub as well as celebrating a 21st bday. Have an 18th near the end of year so might check out a different pub for that.
Great family friendly tavern, kids play area and free dining are definitely a winner. The salt and pepper squid was amazing.
Had run out of 3 of the main dishes I wanted to order and meals took forever to arrive. Then they only brought out 2 at a time so first person was finished eating before last person even got their meal!
Food was great, prices were good. Staff were really helpful
Chips were cold, ordered drinks then told we had to wait, 20 minutes later we had to go back and ask for them AGAIN. Food average for the price. Will not be back.
always a great pub to eat at and the kids love the play room
I was surprised and excited to see Lobster Mornay on the menu. I was disappointed as it was dry.
The food we all hand chicken snitzel but was to crunchy other than that it was lovely but wasn’t enough mushrooms and very tiny other than that it delicious the waiting was a bit long to wait for the meals to come
Food was great would definitely go back to Playford Tavern
It was disappointing that they didn’t know about TheFork, so I had to spend a lot of time showing the email, etc. the service in the end was good, but I really wasn’t interested in hearing about how they fixed the booking problem, and that they never get told how to manage these issues, we just wanted to eat dinner.
When we arrived they didnt have are booking, so was all a bit pointless doing it on line.
