Couldn’t recommend this place enough. Space, comfortable setting, non pretentious and food was top shelf for the money you spend . Full belly and really happy

Good atmosphere, free parking at the back is a bonus. Food was quick to come out. Only 1 person servicing which took us a while to get her attention. Otherwise would be a full mark.

This was a slightly above average pub. I had the most superb fish of the day dish, probably one of the best I've had in a pub. On the other hand 2 of my friends had gnocchi and both were disappointed. My partner's burger was good he said but both he and some of the other members of the party were disappointed with the lack of choice. Waiting staff were very helpful and efficient. Would give another go but not over the weekend as the venue is very noisy when there are lots of large groups.

I always enjoy my visits to The Plough. The food is consistently good and the staff are friendly. The dining room is lovely and there’s always a great vibe, with the only negative being the noise - it is difficult to have a conversation. Probably not the best place if you’re hard of hearing, but if you’re after delicious, unfussy food in an upmarket pub setting, you can’t go wrong with The Plough. We had a lovely Sunday lunch there and everyone from the 75 year olds to the 9 year olds enjoyed their meals.

The Amaretto Sour was well made. I’m a devotee of maraschino cherries so that’s an additional element to consider! The staff are delightful and attentive on a busy night! The steak (fillet and porterhouse) are worthy of 10/10. Cooked to perfection. The side dishes are inventive and completed the meal. Wine list is comprehensive with a varietal red from Spain chosen. Service was speedy and friendly. It’s family friendly for all!

Been a 35 degree outside, it was hotter inside and uncomfortable, the eating area only had fans going and when asked if air con was on, staff suggested because of weather changed hence warm inside. We stayed because we had already ordered, hoping the place would be cool by the time our food arrived but no change. When asked for ice to share, we were given a glass of ice! what a pity because their pizza is delicious, would never recommend or go back!!

    Plough Hotel

Hi there, thanks very much for your review. Our air conditioning is an evaporative system which unfortunately means that we need to have the doors open in order for it to work most effectively. Of course on the really extreme heat days this just lets the hot air in. We are looking into a different system as we speak, and hope to have this resolved sometime soon. I'm sorry to hear that you won't be back - Australia is a country of extreme weather and we do our best to keep our guests comfortable as much as possible - and if our pizza can tempt you back we'd like the opportunity to make it up to you. Feel free to email us: info@ploughhotel.com.au. Cheers, Elsa

    Plough Hotel

Hi there, thanks for taking the time to write a review. I'm sorry to hear you found your waiter pretentious - it's certainly not a quality we like in our wait staff and I will endeavour to find out who your waiter was so they can be spoken to. Glad to hear you enjoyed your meals though and hope to see you back again soon. Cheers, Elsa
