When originlly trying to book, we rang the restaurant. They were 'in the middle of service and it was too loud' to take the call and hung up. By the time we were able to get through again (the next day as they diverted the phone to reception) and speak to a more accommodating staff member, our preferred time wasn't available. We made the adjusted reservation, and were very disappointed with the experience. The servers were pushing for our group to order more food and try the specials. The food was bland, there was too much pasta and only 3 prawns in one dish for $34, the cocktail ingredients listed were unavailable and the spirits weren't perpared correctly. Only positive, they split the bill.

The service was great, Priscilla did a fantastic job looking after us and had an excellent knowledge of the menu and recommendations. Nice atmosphere.

Restaurant was easy to find. Service was perfect! Food was lovely. Portions were small for the cost but the quality was clear. Would recommend it to all. Will definitely be back!

Great food, staff were a bit over-attentive, if anything. Reasonably busy and a little noisy. Wine choice by the glass was limited - one selection wasn’t available. Thoroughly enjoyed the meal and would return

Wonderfully warm welcome. Good looking menu. Signature dish left us uninspired;4 small, dry meatballs in a simple tomato/fennel sauce. House made bucatini was impressive but the fettucini was a little over done with a dive that lacked punch.

The service and atmosphere were both good such a pity the food was very very average. It will need to lift it's game if it is going to stay competitive/open.

Food was taken off the bill as entrees were so bad we left before ordering mains. The polpetta tasted raw and was cold, bruschetta bread burnt and cold. Food was vile To the managers credit he took it off the bill, but they were t even busy and food was cold Would not recommend

I have eaten at Polpetta a few times since it opened and have beed very pleased with the quality of the food and service. I had a beautiful piece of fish and my companion ordered the risotto which he really enjoyed.

The food was tasty but the portion size quite small, and not great value for money. Classic small amount of food on a large plate. Needed to go home to eat more food.

We all thought the food was very good however the atmosphere is blah and whilst the young staff were keen there seemed to be a lack of an authoritative presence. Will give it another go but seemed sub par for an Art Series Hotel
