Fabulous
We were mostly disappointed with the service - the tall lady in black was particularly inhospitable and threw down the drinks menu when being I was being shown the table, as if I was a nuisance. We were also kept waiting a long time before having our order taken. A real shame as the restaurant ambience is lovely and food is pretty good. Recommend the kangaroo tartare, ricotta dumplings and seared tuna with soba noodles.
Great food and really great friendly service!
The best dining experience we have had in a while. Great recommendations, swift and attentive service, beautiful food and great wine - we loved every bit of it. Thank you for looking after us, we will be back!!!
Absolute must, must visit Pony! Amazing food, great venue & wonderful service with a smile. You won’t be disappointed.
Great place. Food was excellent and flavours combined well. Service snappy and friendly. Ambience great as well will definitely be back! Thanks for a lovely night
This restaurant has a good vibe and excellent service. The food was fast, delicious and well put together.
Highly recommended Rocks gem. Great food and service - really enjoyed our celebratory meal there.
So good to be back. Been a long 12 months, but all at Pony certainly didn’t disappoint, with a big welcome, great food and the typical amazing service. Accommodating in every way for dietary requirements. Well done Team, and Jazz. See you soon
The service was a let down. It was slow and disorganised. I wouldn’t bother again.
Friendly waitress, very attentive without being overwhelming. Can always expect excellent food and service time and time again. Intimate cozy yet relaxed fancy atmosphere.
Food and ambience was great. Reasonable prices too. Will be back!
Good food, casual ambience and no fuss. Nice place for a meal to catch up with colleagues
I really enjoyed my evening at Pony. From the moment my partner and I walked in the service was second to none. Jaz our lovely waitress was charming and made excellent recommendations. Glasses were never allowed to be empty and every need was attended to. The highlight for me was the Ribeye and bone marrow. It was the best steak I have had in a really long time and the flavour of the marrow melting into the meat like a butter was sublime. Highly recommend!
Food and service was excellent! We were delighted by the generous portions and the food was amazingly delicious :) Will definitely be going back
The food was great and the service was amazing! Picked the right restaurant for our first night out since lockdown! Our waitress, Jaz, in particular was wonderful.
Love coming here for a lazy weekend lunch with friends. Good food and relaxed atmosphere. The staff are friendly and provide great service. Will be back again for sure!
We’ve been to Pony a few times in the past and always had a good experience. The entrees were amazing but we did have to send the steaks back as they were a little under for our liking.
Lovely place to celebrate my friend’s 40th birthday! Delicious options on the menu, and nice wines and cocktails too. Friendly and attentive service, was a great night out.
Cauliflower was delist, spatchcock so generous n moist, overall happy, will b back.
Great service, attentive and friendly. It was really quiet but good distancing options. Started were yum, mains were a little dry but tasted good.

Style and sass at Pony...
Widely regarded as one of the pioneers of the wood fire grill in Sydney, Pony offers an honest flavour driven menu that showcases prime Australian produce, a carefully crafted boutique selection of wines and a cheeky cocktail list. At the heart of the kitchen is a signature Argentinean wood fire grill which is used to create sensational meat dishes, prepare fresh seafood and an array of shared and larger plates.
Pony Dining is located in Sydney's oldest laneway within the historic and bustling dining precinct of The Rocks. Restaurant designer Michael McCann has transformed the centuries old building into a stunning dining space that features a large open kitchen (with a pony hide clad counter), a 10 meter long dining table on the outdoor deck, an intimate lounge for pre-dinner drinks, heritage brick walls, and commissioned woven art hangings - making this space a truly unique dining destination.
