The food at Pope Joan is by celebrated head Chef Bente Grysbæk; her love of European and Asian techniques, and a well stoked wood fired grill, shines through in a menu celebrating fresh local produce.
Many of our suppliers deliver straight from their farm to our kitchen door, and many, such as Warialda beef, have supplied the business since its very first days. In fact, Warialda beef’s pastrami is the secret behind our iconic Reuben sandwich, which has been on a Pope Joan menu for over 10 years.
Our range of Danish open top sandwiches are all offered on house made Danish rye bread from a recipe Bente developed and adapted to Australian ingredients.
