Stuart Deller

Stuarts’ contemporary cuisine is infused with a strong European sensibility. His menu changes regularly, highlighting the best of the season. The relationship between food and wine is symbiotic, in both pursuits we strive to highlight terroir and seasonality. Dishes are driven by region and season with a bias to local and cool climate produce. Local ingredients are a regular features on the Port Phillip Dining menu.

Highly recommend the venue, and the food was outstanding. loved the big beautiful open fireplace, to sit around after dinner. Service was outstanding.

Food was fine, service excellent. But value for money it falls well short. My pork was very good but half what should have been served. The pasta and truffles were excellent but with an extra $15 for what was served not good value. The whole estate buildings are very austere/industrial but on wire chairs looses that “special” feel.

Mornington Peninsula is very fortunate to be home to a number of first class restaurants/wineries, such as Port Phillip Estate, Red Hill.

Disappointing that the wine at Cellar Door we liked was not available in the Dining Room. The calamari entree was not nice at all - peas, quail egg and octopus was very unpalatable. I felt the pork had sat for quite a while before serving. Our booking was at @ 2 o'clock it was 15 minutes before we got water and another 15 minutes before we could order our drinks. The wait was over an hour for our mains. Overall service very slow.

About Port Phillip Estate

Must-see This lovely restaurant has been highlighted by Gourmet Traveller as being one of the top hundred restaurants to visit in Australia. Its ultra-chic and modern dining area offers beautiful, sweeping views of the vineyards beyond and the region in general. Timber decking allows for lovely alfresco dining when the weather permits and it is a treat for that special function upon request. Chef Stuart Deller has travelled the world in pursuit of excellence and this is the place where he delivers it. Spoil yourself with a beautiful set menu or enjoy the a la carte choices of tantalising dishes such as house-cured duck ham, or risotto Milanese with braised leek and bay mussels. Glenloft rabbit loin with carrot, pearl onion and earl grey is one of the delectable mains and is symbolic of the researched and worldly choices on the list. Best dish: Pinnacle grass-fed beef fillet with red cabbage, ox check croquette and smoked marrow
