Excellent
A beautiful setting with every table having the advantage of the view across the winery to Western Port. Delicious and interesting food with top quality wines and excellent service.
Beautiful atmosphere and views over the vineyard. Food was fantastic although a few more choices on the set menu would have been ideal. Great service that ended with a quick tour of the cellar which was a special treat for the birthday boy
Dinner for two. Staff were well informed and proficient. Three course meal could not be faulted. Quail was succulent Snapper perfectly cooked. All elements of the strawberries and panocha dessert were well executed. Views over the vineyard out to Western Port spectacular. Did not disappoint
A lovely 3 courses, special wines and gorgeous views.
Lovely atmosphere by the fire on what was a rainy day. Staff very pleasant and easy to talk to. Nice selection of wine. Menu was pretty good with enough to eat.
We were very much looking forward to returning to Port Phillip Estate. Whilst the food was good the service was offhand and patchy. Despite having g booked several weeks ago we had the worst seat in the house. Who wants to travel for an 1.5 hrs to stare at 6 empty wine barrels. Patronage in these difficult times for the restaurant sector cant be taken for granted. Before hastening back I’d want to be reassured that the establishment was operating at the top of its game.
Quality and choice of food was disappointing As it was for my partner’s birthday we were dissatisfied the pork I had was really dry also the wail was really chewy my partners gnocchi was overcooked as I never write bad reviews desserts were however lovely
Did a wine tasting, then had a reservation for lunch. The gf and I selected "Tartare of Cape Grim 4+ sirloin, beef fat waffles" & "Estate mixed heirloom tomatoes, ricotta, basil". For mains we selected "Wood roasted market fish, umami butter, oyster emulsion, sea succulents" & "Estate pumpkin agnolotti del plin, amaretto, sage, kefir butter, caper sauce" with a side of "Kale & brocolini". Lastly, for dessert we had "Textures of Sunny Ridge strawberries, toasted bread ice cream, tarragon" Everything was amazing, cooked to perfection, albeit the portions of fine dining are small to keep you thinking of the food, and wanting more. That dessert was to die for. We bought a couple of wines for celebrations as well. Deffinitly will be coming back.
Beautiful setting in the Red Hill district with views all the way to the sea. Spectacular view of the vineyards from the restaurant. Nice meal overall, it was a set price/menu option which might be a problem for some, however, we enjoy sharing our meals. The pumpkin agnatelli pasta was very tasty but the duck was a bit underwhelming. Very nice was their vegetable side dishes, definitely order the carrots. For dessert the strawberries with ice cream was superb & creatively put together.
Amazing views through the floor to ceiling winds. Every guest at every table can share the awesome vista. Friendly and attentive staff in the dining room and cellar door. Excellent food. The three course option is good value for money. Just a lovely tranquil venue with an awesome outlook.
This very upmarket & well known winery lives up the reputation of stunning views & setting. The set menu for lunch is rather limited for choice & the serves are very small. Service between the 2 experienced male waiters were quite good, without being attentive.
Spectacular nuclear bunker overlooking the rolling hills. Food was very good. Service was pleasant although perhaps not to a fine dining standard. Milanese risotto for starter was amazing!
Amazing place love the food staff are outstanding beautiful wine. Amazing views of the beautiful wineries And the beautiful lakes took my kids and they loved it
Breathtaking views over the beautiful Mornington Peninsula. Food and wine does also not disappoint
Staff need bit more training in terms of serving standard. (But aussie style so understandable) Starter was incredibly small yet the fish was incredibly huge. May have to maintain a balance between meal size....
Four of us ate here today. The 2 diners who ordered an entree and dessert were reasonably impressed. One reported her dessert of gingerbread, pineapple and ice-cream was just OK. The other, who ordered the chocolate mousse with ice-cream and meringue, raved about it. Both entrees were rated good. My partner (a professional chef) was impressed with the service but very disappointed with the food. He ordered a salmon entree which was described as overcooked and disappointing. The main of duck was described as tough and tasteless. My entree of prawn risotto, was very tasty, but I would have preferred more than a dessertspoon of this. For $30 it was pretty mean-looking. My main of mushroom agnolotti with egg yolk puree, was good. The side dish of roasted potatoes was the unanimous star. Overall, we thought it was disappointing and couldn't hold a candle to the excellence of Paringa Estate's dining room.
Nice menu and food to match . Perfect setting for a holiday luncheon . Enjoyed local Pinot Noir with duck . Cheeseboard was a great finish ...........,
Great welcome ,personnel attentive, food delicious and correctly priced. Atmosphere and ambiance combine to subdued a long week of work. Always a great lunch with family
We thoroughly enjoyed our lunch at Port Philip Estate. The three course lunch was divine and catered well for Gluten Free! The view is spectacular and the table settings were well situated (not crammed together). Our waitress was lovely and helpful (without long winded explanations about the menu????). Definitely going back and might stay overnight for our next anniversary!
Spectacular views. Great food .& wine

An architectural landmark. This restaurant has been highlighted by Gourmet Traveller as being one of the top one hundred restaurants to visit in Australia. Its ultra-chic and modern dining area offers beautiful, sweeping views of the vineyards beyond and the region in general. Chef Stuart Deller’s contemporary cuisine is infused with a strong European sensibility, his menu changes regularly, celebrating cool climate seasonal produce at its best. Local ingredients that are regular features on the menu are mussels and whiting from Port Phillip Bay, organic rhubarb and asparagus from Koo Wee Rup, prawns and bugs from Lakes Entrance, olive oil and olives from the Peninsula, vegetables from Whitehill Road and our kitchen garden and cherries from the neighbouring property.
