Excellent
Food and service was amazing! The staff were very flexible and able to accomodate more people arriving than I originally booked for. The staff were were very friendly and family friendly.
I booked a table at this restaurant via The Fork few days before we are there. We got there to be told that they didn’t have a booking because they did not receive any notification from The Fork about our booking, but they just happened to have a table available. Food was very average. Atmosphere none really. There were a lot of walk ins and they seemed to be accommodated. Prices are very high for what you get. $8 for a 1lt bottle of sparkling water. Really? Food was ok. I wouldn’t rave about it, and I don’t think I’ll be going back there again unless desperate. There are a lot of really good Italian places in Fremantle, but this isn’t one of them.
Staff were friendly and the food was tasty. The smell of garlic bread cooking was hard to resist. Food came quickly as we ate early - it got super busy around 7.30
Portarosa is a family fave and we love it every time time we visit. My daughter chose to go back for her birthday dinner this week. For starters, we ordered pizza bianca and the Italian sausage, fetta and olive plate to share. We had pizzas and pastas for main and they were absolutely delicious. The quality of the ingredients was outstanding and the seafood was exemplary. Wonderful attentive service topped off the night nicely. Always recommend and will be back soon.
Service very lack-lustre. 10 mins after seating we had to ask for water. Drinks took ages to arrive and a waiter finally came to take our order after almost 25mins. Food on a par with our local pub. Disappointing meal to celebrate my husbands birthday, made more so by the fact that our waiter took our payment and didn't bother to speak other than to ask if I wanted the EFTPOS receipt. Won't recommend or return, sadly.
A very enjoyable evening with friends. We sat inside and it was cool and comfortable . 3 out of 4 meals were very good, The service was great. We will go again .
there was no toppings on the pizzas, mussel shells disentragated on pizza which i we wondered why put them on? bases were good.salads .... staff were good
Amazing service & quality staff were so lovely and polite and the food was AMAZING fresh , and tasty
This is the first time I have been to this restaurant. What an amazing experience we all had. The food was fresh and well prepared. The staff were all so attentive and very friendly. We will definitely be back!
Amazing food and great service. Will definitely be back.
The food and staff were amazing, great atmosphere and location. Everything was served promptly and cooked to perfection. I will be definitely recommending this place to my friends in the future
Perfect menu and fantastic spot for families, especially with young kids who need a quick service and friendly staff!! Will visit again for sure.
It was amazing food! Well done!
Delicious, authentic Italian food with great service. We will definitely be returning. We visited with a group of 8 and we all agreed, the food was authentic and delicious.
The food was reasonably good. Possibly the worst service I have had in a restaurant for quite some time. Had to get up and ask for water, despite trying to flag the waitress. Waited some time for our mains and then was completely forgotten about. Did the Mexican wave for some attention to no avail. So got our own menu for dessert. Had to get up and ask for our table to be cleared and to order dessert. Not the best birthday dinner! Won’t be returning any time soon.
Food was standard Italian fair, cooked quite nicely. The staff were pleasant. Unfortunately we waited for nearly an hour for our food to be served.
Food was good but not outstanding
Great pizza
Fantastic pizza. Consistently good quality food and service.
Great place, although not a very authentic Italian taste as one would hope. Prices are ok too.

Mmmm…Bellissimo! Watch the bustling Market St crowd as you tuck into Joe Napoli’s hearty Italian home cooking. Joe’s specialty is combining tender meats with seafood so fresh you can smell the ozone. The Chilli Crab Linguine arrives with the crabs still in their shells, great to wash down with a fruity Chardonnay from Margaret River. The Pollo Marino, chargrilled chicken breast topped with exquisite tiger prawns in a creamy mushroom sauce, comes with a gorgeous garlicky mash and tender mushrooms. And what could be better to finish off the meal than a sublime Tiramisu. It’s served in a glass, so you can see the soft, delectable layers of mascarpone, sponge fingers soaked in coffee and Tia Maria, with crunchy crumbs as a base, and dusted with chocolate. Joe loves to come and mix with the customers so the atmosphere is friendly and fun. Portorosa also serves perfect pizzas. Open seven days for lunch and dinner. Best dish: Pork Belly on rocket with seared scallops
