The background music wasn't the most suitable for evening dining and was too loud. Food was excellent the wine list had a very good range of Tasmania wines.

Disappointing. Did not see engender a salute to Tassie produce. Scallop entree was scarce on scallops whilst the Trumpeter was dry. My partners baby octopus was OK, but lacked a defining signature flavour combo. Not as good as previous sojourns. Need to emphasise the paddock to fork and de-clatter the dishes.

Love Pure South. Beef tartare has had a makeover, addition of creamy elements balanced with vinegar and crumbed quail egg was interesting but preference remains for previous version which we considered best in Melbourne.

Tasmanian Farmers' Sunday Roast Lunch

Join us for a nostalgic 'Tasmanian' inspired Sunday roast lunch. The menu is designed weekly to feature a rotating roster of farmers & fishermen from Tasmania, King Island & Flinders Island; served in a warm room with the winter sunlight streaming in the windows with a view down on the river and across to the City.
