Beautifully prepared, honest, tasty food served in a bright and comfortable space. The only hiccup was being asked by one wait staff if we'd like to order anything else even though the other wait staff had just cleared our entree plates.

Staff were friendly and welcoming. We shared a salad for entree with bread, had pasta and cod for mains. Desserts looked delicious but we were too full to eat anymore. Restaurant has a lovely vibe, can be for family lunch or romantic dinner. I saw other tables having high tea too, looking forward to try that as well.

We had another great meal at Q Dining. The scallops were beautiful and the Park and Linguini were delicious. Great and attentive service. Looking forward to our next visit

Great location and views. Convenient spot to dine before or after a show at the Opera House. Food was good particularly the bread and butter! Service was really lovely.

For such a great setting the food and service just don’t match. Good effort by all concerned but seems tired and touristy and survives on tourists and international wait staff. Not sure customer service is priority though nothing overly wrong. Just nothing to feel anything special about. All very average. Only ordered desert... white yoghurt something but so disappointing. Melted into a sugary puddle.

Staff were doing well under pressure, they really needed another person on. They got us in and out in great time to make it to the theatre. Food was ok, but defiantly not outstanding.

Delicious food in a gorgeous setting. Thank you for yet another wonderful meal and experience. I especially appreciate the extra touch of the birthday surprise for my friend - unexpected and much appreciated. Q Dining is my go to place to take visitors coming to Sydney and for special occasions.

Atmosphere was wonderful/food was ok but it was short staffs or they were not trained - we felt the service was somewhat too slow.

Excellent food, view and service. Although the first two meals we ordered came in reasonably on time, unfortunately the interval between the 2nd and last course was significant we had to follow it up. Especially it is a pre-theatre meals, we ended up being a tad late to watch the Sydney Opera Symphony perform.

Q Dining never fails to deliver beautiful food in a haven perched above the very busy East Circular Quay precinct, with a view of the setting sun towards the Sydney Harbour Bridge and Sydney Ferries. It's always our go-to before a show at the Opera House.

Was a weeknight which was not too busy but only had one staff on duty. Whilst service was ok...it would have been much better if there was just one more staff..... so service could be more 'attentive' if you want to lift the 'service' of the restaurant. The one staff had to do drinks, take orders, service food, pour water etc etc making it stressful for staff member as well as customers (who would otherwise have more prompt service'. Oysters was fresh with cucumber (but too much cucumber juice) but there was no finger lime as per the menu. Food was ok... but was below expectation for that calibre of restaurant

Kate, our waiter was so good. She welcomed us, explained the menu, made suggestions and double checked with the chef about the food, because one of our party has a food allergy, and always with a smile! All the food was delicious. My Tenderloin was perfectly cooked and the toothfish was described as the best dish he had eaten for a while. I am never disappointed with the food; but the service last night was exceptional. we'll be back.

About the restaurant

Style and substance

Q dining is located on the mezzanine level of the luxurious Pullman Quay Grand Sydney Harbour. The décor is inspired by the spectacular waterfront location, overlooking Circular Quay. Q dining’s dining room features glass in primary colours and steel tones. The cuisine is of a high quality and beautifully presented; with a menu that has a focus on fresh and locally sourced produce where possible.

They have a solid wine list, and are also happy to pop upstairs to the bar to fetch a cocktail for you. A great location for a meal before heading to a the theatre or show, these guys offer both a set pre show menu and a-la-carte options.

A perfect idea for people with overseas or interstate visitors who are wanting to make a big impression due to the unique combination of stunning view of the harbour and city, and wonderful cuisine. The meals are set at reasonable prices and served in generous portions. Accor Advantage Plus members can dine at a discount.

Best dish: duck with cherries with a side dish of asparagus
