We went at 6pm and it was very quiet so I'd recommend booking a bit later for some atmosphere. There was building work going on out one window with a half competed deck being the view from our table so maybe give them a month to finish that up too. It's not really a ranforest view so that was a bit disappointing - it's more of a green tropical garden out one side which is very nice in the day and when lit at night. It's not a rainforest view though. There is also a bar directly behind a thin set of curtains so you get all the noise from the bar in the restaurant including whatever music is on in that bar - nothing too offensive but it is just popular music so expect some dance tracks and a bit of hip hop with your steak and wine dinner. Didn't quite match the mood of the restaurant. As mentioned when we arrived the restaurant was empty, they sat us right at the back looking across all the tables to the view of the "rainforest". I'd put in my booking it was a birthday so would appreciate a good table of possible. We got given probably the worst table despite being the first there (it wasn't a BAD table but it was the least best!) . It was a bit weird to be in there alone looking at the all the nicer empty tables available. I didn't bother asking if we could move because I figured other people were about to arrive and might have booked and requested the tables before us. 45mins later the tables filled. But for 45 mins - a sea of better tables lay ahead of us! I should have asked - but should I have to ask?! I think they could have noticed themselves it was a bit odd where they put as seeing as we were the first guests! The food was great. Really nicely done platter for 2. For $80 it was not bad. I think I might have expected a bit more maybe? Or for it to come out in courses rather than just on a board? I'd recommend it though if you're comfy paying $80 for it. I just about was. Just. Overall would not go back again but would recommend as a once off. Just get a table at the front and expect bar noise. You'll enjoy the food though - very good.
