Excellent
Honestly one of the best dining experiences I’ve had, well trained staff and Jaida our waitress was extremely welcoming and friendly, she explained everything perfectly and recommended us some great choices and always made sure we had drinks offered us extra napkins and plates for the share plates. the food was fantastic, the views were beautiful, the atmosphere delightful. Couldn’t recommend this place enough, thank you again to Jaida for looking after my partner and I, would recommend to anyone going to mt Tamborine to eat here.
The Rainforest Restaurant & Lounge Bar was a great find. We only wished we had stayed in one of their cabins too! The staff were welcoming and helpful; the food was delicious and provided me with LOTS of gluten free options. We can’t wait to come back :)
Partner and I went here for dinner a few nights ago and will definitely be back soon! We got the share platter and it was delicious, staff were so accommodating and very friendly. Can’t wait to come back with the family!
Incredible! It was our first child free night in a year so we chose to spoil ourselves at the Rainforest Restaurant. We are so glad we picked this place as the food, staff and restaurant itself was absolutely amazing! The staff couldn't do enough for us. They were so friendly and so welcoming! Thank you so much! We had the Share Platter, Slow Roasted Lamb Shoulder & the Barramundi Fillet. Everything was to cooked to perfection. My partner is a fussy eater however upon leaving, he re-booked us in for Sunday lunch for Valentine's Day with the kids. Thanks again guys for an outstanding night. - We already can't wait to come back and try more of the menu!
Food was delicious and staff were friendly. The major disappointment was the wait time for food. It almost took an hour for our meals to come out which marred our evening.
Great Atmosphere and lovely food. Hidden gem !
This restaurant is a hidden gem. We ordered the Share Platter. Really good value for money and each item was delicious. Well done to the chef. Our dessert of donuts was equally good. The wait staff were friendly and efficicient. The entire experience was worth the drive. Highly recommend this venue.
My partner and I had dinner here recently and were so impressed with everything! The food was amazing and the waitress that looked after us was so lovely. We cannot wait to come back again.
Excellent service! The shared plates were all amazing. and deliciously fresh. With such high quality food and attention to detail we will be back!
Lovely food - all plates good.
Staff were fantastic. Food was disappointing. Everything was deep fried. We had large shared platter for two and besides the barramundi everything is battered or crumbed and deep fried. We also had large dish or barramundi and that was also battered and deep fried and the chips looked like they have been soaking in oil for far too long. Very disappointing as the look and feel of the restaurant was great and we looked forward to a lovely dinner.
I forgot it was school holidays. 2 tables of screaming toddlers was not great. They finally left so they turned the music on with a speaker on top of our heads. The food was great but, I wouldn’t go there on a weekend. Service was very slow.
This restaurant is located in Thunderbird Park, about a 10 minute drive south of Tambourine Mountain township. A car is necessary to access it. We found the signage to access the driveway a bit unhelpful, coming from the town (you have to make a sharp right from the highway, otherwise you end up in the National Park picnic area. The restaurant was COVID-safe, although having to register all three family members separately was a bit inconvenient (most restaurants offer a QR-code system that allows one person to register the entire family). We had requested a window table, which we received, and the outlook was nice. They offer "small" and "large" plates, but vegetarian options are limted to the "small" plate menu. Our waitress suggested ordering two small plates, which came to about the same price as a large plate. The g=food I chose was excellent. Only complaint was the shoestring chips we ordered to share were over-salted. The restaurant is licenced, and the wine prices were reasonable per glass but a bit pricey per bottle. Overall, an excellent experience; highly recommended.
Lovely little restaurant, great ambience and decor. We ordered the share platter and although most of the food was tasty, it is very expensive for what you receive and the portions are small.
Food delicious. Good atmosphere apart from the flies
Excellent food, will be going back
Stayed at Cedar Creek for the weekend and had dinner here both nights. Food was exceptional and the service was just as comparable. Way above expectations. We did the share plates one night and had large plates the next night. Can’t tell you which I preferred :) Booked for Easter and can’t wait to come back.
Had lunch with friends here. The food was so delicious. The waiter was extremely knowledgeable and recommended a heap of share plates for us to share. Glad we went with his suggestion!!! Had a lovely table overlooking the gardens. It was very busy but you wouldn’t have known by the level of service we received,
The staff where very friendly and well presented. The food was so tasty and very affordable! The good came out fast and was beautifully presented.
our daughter had chips and nuggets and for $9 she had more to eat then me .when my meat was $32 a rack of lamb which had meat the size of a match box and a few carrots 2 baked spuds and spinach, maybe they could match the meal sizes with the over the top menu description and the top on off the lamb was over cooked but after waiting 45min for the feed we just wanted out of there.
