    The entrees are great, especially the sauce. The steak is a bit chewy and beer battered fish is a bit dry. However the plating looks pretty and the hand cut potato chips are delicious.

    Surprisingly good quality for a hotel restaurant. The menu was understandably limited but still provided enough good choices. The lamb fillet was delicious. We will certainly be back again before too long.

    We visited this resturant for my son two years old birthday. We didnt expect it takes ages for the food arrive. And didnt aware it was full house when we arrive. We ordered the food., It takes a while for the entree to come, we got kids with us, we almost wait for half hr where my kids meals arrived. When we want to chase up the order, there arent enough staff around the floor. They were busy on a big table. We keep raise our hands but no one come to our table. Finally my kids food arrive (after 15-20minapart from our me arrival). The food was so far ok. We ordered the steak and lamb. The meat was ok but lack of plate decoration. Chips was overcooked but still eatable. My son ordered the fish , again still eable but it was only the fried whole fish with the sauce cup aside without any decorations e.g salad etc. (Although i request to put aside when we order) . We cant even bother to order the desserts because lack of staff and time.

    Four of us dined and everyone enjoyed their meals. Sword fish, lamb back strap and pork belly were all enjoyed. Nice and quiet in restaurant. Service was slow but we didn’t mind that at all.

    The entrees were tiny. There was only 1 small piece of pork belly (50g) on the whole plate. Mains were well cooked - swordfish was cooked perfectly. Lamb fillet was beautifully presented and cooked but bland. Cauliflower salad was delicious. Not a valuable for money without the 50%

    We enjoyed a family dinner and the food was great. Good amount of space between tables. Seemed a bit light on for staff but not a problem for us. Pork belly entree was a winner!

    We enjoyed the food and friendly service. Barramundi was crispy and the sauce was excellent. Chocolate hazelnut tart was a good choice of desert.

    Delicious food, nice ambiance and good staff.. what more could you want! We got the backstrap and steak for mains.. Stand out was the warm cauliflower salad!

    Have dined a few times and staff are always attentive, welcoming and knowledgeable. I have yet to order a dish I haven’t like everything has always been fresh and of a great quality.

    Service was a bit slow but very friendly. Food was delicious. Only comment would be that the prawns in the pappardelle were quite bitter from the white wine but the rest of the dish was so good

Aptly named after the Castle Hill Rebellion of 5 March 1804, an uprising by convicts against colonial authority in the Castle Hill area. It was the first and only major convict uprising in Australian history and the history lives on in this warm & history rich restaurant.
