Red Ochre has always been one of my fav place to dine in Adelaide and has always been one of very few places I recommend to those who enjoy similar outing: great food, good wine list, great wait staffs, great views.

We enjoyed the delicious food and friendly service. Will definitely refer friends to eat there.

Dishes were quite rich would recommend ordering the greens with mains. It was quite busy for a Monday night hence the slower service.

Great views and food was delicious. The only negative was that the service was very, very slow....disappointing!

Red Ochre overlooks the Torrens weir. A lovely spot. We went there to recall our Engagement night 50 years ago at Little Earnest’s which was on the same site then. A creative menu with little authentic Australian touches. We loved every minute and made for a very special night with my wife.

Food was absolutely fantastic. We had the 5 course Chefs Special and the variety & quality were unfaultable. We had a window table with great views and the staff were more than attentive. This is our favourite restaurant and we highly recommend it.

About Red Ochre Barrel and Grill

In the Red Red Ochre is a firm favourite amongst South Australian locals and visitors alike, after a successful move several years back to its current, permanent home on the banks of the River Torrens which accentuates the views of the beautiful Festival Centre, major hotels and Adelaide skyline. The cuisine at Red Ochre has always been top notch, and service is of the highest quality. The décor is light, airy and hushed, allowing that perfect first date or special occasion to flourish. Try the signature dishes such as the salt and pepper crocodile, or perhaps some miso and sesame-crusted yellow fin tuna. Just don't forget to save room for the Red Ochre liquid Toblerone - it's sensational - or if you’re trying to impress an overseas guest, suggest they try the wattleseed pavlova. Best dish: North QLD Fortune Bay barramundi.
