    We were very pleasantly surprised. The quality of food was excellent as was the service from all waiting staff. We were then encouraged to head downs stairs for a whiskey. What great experience!

    Good food and nice surroundings, overall an enjoyable evening. It was good to try Russian beer. Dumplings were the best dish. The ice cream flavours sounded good so will try next time.

    The atmosphere is relaxing and the service was friendly and efficient. The decor is rustic with wooden tables and hints at its Russian roots without going overboard. The same can be said for the menu. Excellent mainstream choices with a Russian flare.

    The waiter seemed a bit rude and snobby to us when we were ordering food and completely ignored us when we wanted to order more food. The lamb and pulled pork was really good but the trout was bland. Nice atmosphere

    Great food and Wine - We chose the "Feed Me" option - Just tell the Chef your dietary preferences and she makes up a 3 course dinner for you , matched with 3 different wines ( 1 for each course) - Sensational! I suggest you try it. The White mousse with forest berries was unique and tasty.

    Really disappointed with the food and service on Saturday night. I had high hopes coming in, only to be met with entrees and mains which lacked almost everything. The oysters were small and still had bits of shell attached upon consumption, hence needed more thorough cleaning. And my 'Rainbow Trout' was nothing but bones. It was embarrassing for my dinner guests to see me pulling bones out of my mouth every second, and so there's not much I have to say on that. The dumpling skin was overcooked, and overall, all dishes lacked flavour and punch. The crepes were soft and fluffy, but adding anchovies, some dollop of cream, fish roe, and dill for presentation does very little to really help elevate the dish.

    The only slight negative was the constant disruption of groups of guests (weren't sure if they're paying guests or some were walk through) from front door to the side dining room to check out what's beyond the door (which has fire hydrant handle as door knob) Other than that we were happy with the food, the services, dining room.. Happy to be back in the near future

    Fantastic venue, gorgous fitout that accentuates the lovely historic bluestone building . Food was sensational, the flavours and presentation were very high end fine dining. I've been a few times now but haven't had a main meal there yet, lots of the smaller dishes are great to share with a group of friends. The owner served us last time and she was very patient and accomodating and was happy to take photos for us. unfortunately can't post photos of food here.... Whiskey bar downstairs is incredible, best range of whiskeys I've ever seen. Love this place....

    Came back for a second time after booking on The Fork previously and having a great experience, this time with my partner for a pre-theatre show meal. Once again we shared the dumplings as an entrée, and I got the pearl barley mushroom risotto, which was very nice, but think I preferred the black noodles (which my partner got this time and I got last time) as these are delicious. House red surprisingly good!
