Still my favourite restaurant in the city. Like the new venue - still feels like Red Spice Road. Flavours bold, food service fast. Love it. Thanks.
Food full of flavour. Service was friendly and attentive. Will be back.
I love Red Spice Road - always amazing food and service. Really hard to go past for lunch or dinner, every day dining or special event. Great restaurant.
We had an excellent night, made even more special by being the last night in the Mckillip Lane venue!
Red Spice Road never disappoints. Great service and fantastic food. Really enjoyed spending one of the last nights at their McKillop st restaurant before the move.
Food was ok. Looks like they’re getting ready to move. See how they go when that happens.
love the food here?looking for the new location
Overall, a very good experience
Fairly pricey with the size of the serve.
Enjoyable tasting menu tie-in with the Melbourne International Arts Festival. Plus a cocktail. It's a popular, if noisy venue.
We love Red Spice Road. It's our go to restaurant for all our special occasions. Service, food and atmosphere always great.
Red Spice Road is a large restaurant consisting of mainly sharing tables. The menu is divided into small, medium and large dishes. On this visit we choose two medium dishes, sambal chicken wings and chicken and prawn with crispy rice and three large dishes, soft shell crab, Korean beef rib and the stir fried snapper dish. The medium dishes are around $22 and the large dishes we selected were $36-38. Each of the dishes were of a good portion size so don't over order otherwise you won't have room for dessert. We liked all the dishes however my favourite dishes were the crab and the beef rib. The beef was very tender and although the dish was described as spicy, it wasn't. There is a choice of four desserts and they are $15-17 each. We choose the Yuzu doughnuts and the mango and coconut Panna Cotta. My favourite of the two was the Panna Cotta. The staff were friendly and efficient and the dishes were all served promptly.
Great service and quality as usual
The waiters were very good tonight. Both people we dealt with had the right mix of personality and professionalism
Food nice but very small portion . Great ambience
We had a hens party there and the host was kind enough to arrange the lunch at a suitable corner to accommodate our occasion. We happened to be right next to the face painter engaged by the restaurant and she did such a marvelous job on all 10 of us. All of us have enjoyed the food, the service was great, the ambience was suitable for our group dining. Overall our experience at the Red Spice Road was a pleasant one.
Food was fantastic & so was the service. Loved the Malaysian duck curry. Would definitely visit here again when I come to Melbourne. In a city with so many great restaurants, this one is pretty spectacular. The communal tables mean it's not the ideal spot for a romantic date but as we were part of a group it worked well. Great communication by the reservations team as well.
Great food, will be back
