Staff not welcoming. Said they didn't take bookings thru the fork and it was a glitch. Family of 5 trekked out with kids and had to go home. What is the point in making a booking? Complete waste of time.

Always a pleasure, the steak options are fantastic, the accompaniments are superb. I am Celiac, most menu items are GF or can be modified.......very happy with that! I love selecting a wine at The BoastShed, the list is just right with something to suit all the food options. As for the cocktails .... go for the Signature ones.

Impressive busy restaurant. Didn’t have to wait too long for our meals. Observed staff sanitising tables, and keeping distance between tables etc. We felt that our family lunch was very good value and enjoyable. We will come again.

Beef Carpaccio starter Awesome - well-done Boatshed. Dry Aged beef - Bla Bla Bla. "This time-honoured process produces a rounder, sweeter flavour of remarkable intensity, much like a good red does over time" Bla Bla. Its a pity the gravy tastes like a packed sauce. All I got was a tough, not so nice tasting bit of meat spoiled by a horrible gravy that was supposed to be a pepper sauce. They did give me a free wine though - the wine was really nice!

Meal and Food was great, service was very slow to start with and then 7.30pm rolled around and we were rushed as they wanted the table for the next booking. It took 40minutes to get our first drinks, I guess they are just a little understaffed.

This place looks great, steaks galore being cooked, sets your mind into looking forward to a great meal. What turned up, was probably the worst steak I have had, and being 51 I have had a few. Couldn’t cut it, it was full of sinew and fat. For a 45 dollar steak too. And the chips. Well, how about last nights recooked. Scratch that. 2 nights ago re cooked and re cooked again. Ordered broccoli. Limp. What a waste from the owners, they have a great opportunity but sadly are abusing it as I guess the locals (who mostly are young kids) must keep on coming back for more. Oh and by the way, if you are male, forget going to the bar. Every young girl will get served before you regardless of how long you have been waiting.

Rowdy atmosphere added to the quirkiness of a truly up-scale, delicious “Pub Meal”...which was actually brilliant gourmet dishes!

Staff and Restaurant are exceptionally good. The Waygu Sirloin whilst tender had an Unacceptable level of Gristle and was on the thin side. Personally I have never seen this in Waygu before. I eat 6 - 9 score Waygu or Dry Aged Beef once per week in Hervey Bay. Please feel free to contact me.

We've always enjoyed the Regatta Boatshed. Jess was a real standout. Her service and engaging nature made it one of our best visits. The steaks were perfectly cooked and the sauces top notch. We enjoyed the salad - probably need an easier way of serving the salad though.

About the restaurant

A meaty must…

When you’re almost smacked in the face by a display of hanging meat in ageing cabinets upon entering Regatta Boatshed, you’ll wonder whether you’ve just stepped foot into a suburban abattoir. Although this isn’t the case this certainly sets the scene for whats to come at this much loved local in Toowong - and as you can probably guess, that’s a lot of meat. For all you meat-loving carnivores out there - get excited, the impressive lineup of dry and wet aged steaks will not disappoint. With fourteen different cuts to choose from (expect everything from a petite 180g Diamantina eye fillet ($27.90) to a 1kg rib eye on the bone ($99.90)), it’s fair to say there are more than enough cuts for the picking. Not a meat lover? Breathe a sigh of relief because non-steak lovers are well catered for too.

To give steaks the gold star for best dish would be a somewhat obvious choice so we’re shining light on a surprising sweet, the lemon tart. Don’t leave the premises without trying this sweet sensation, it’s quite possibly one of the best in the country, giving France a run for it’s money too. Think short pastry with a silky filling and summery lemon gelato on the side. In other's pure heaven.
