Love dining here but today’s service seemed off a beat. Food was great as usual. We ordered the frutti de mare and I think the cooked portion should be brought out after the cold.

Lovely restaurant in a perfect set up. Entrees were absolutely delicious, mains could be improved for the price tag. Deserts are a must. We’ll be back!

We enjoyed their service and the stunning view. The staff were friendly and helpful. The foods were very nice too. If they were served in bigger portions would have been fantastic.

The menu has not changed much since I last went there at least a year ago. The food is good, nice fresh components, but a little unimaginative. There was a large group of Japanese people which made me wonder if the restaurant is recommended on a tourist website or in a guidebook. It seemed less local than it used to be. The waiter who greeted me was charming, the other waiter seemed unenthusiastic and offered no additional information unless asked.

Came here for a special occasion with my daughters who ordered from the kids menu. Both had the linguine bolognaise and loved it. I ordered the kangaroo which was delicious and beautifully presented. The wine was exceptional (though I am fairly certain it was less than a serve in my glass) and the addition of the lemon mousse prior to our dessert was a lovely touch. Will definitely be returning.

Went to the Bottomless Brunch. Food and drink were fine and views were obviously great. Staff were lovely, but given there were only two tables there (a lot quieter than we expected - with us a 4 and the other table an 8 I think), we would have expected the staff to be always present to fill up the water and wine whenever required, as opposed to us having to wait and/or ask on several occasions - particularly as when my wife went to the ladies, they all appeared to be around the corner just chatting. Wasn't bad, just wasn't the experience we were expecting.

We booked for a special lunch. The tables adjacent to us were so close the man at the table behind me had to move his chair in so I could get to my chair. The woman behind me was about 20cm away, the same on the other side of the table where my husband and elderly Dad were sitting - my Dad was actually bumped a couple of times. I had a great lunch listening to the table behind me because they were closer than my companions. my advice - take one table out on the "view" side of the restaurant, it is not a cheap menu. The food was delicious, service ok, it was so cramped it was uncomfortable.

We did bottomless brunch on Sunday - only us and one other small group in entire restaurant and yet we had to ask for water and wine top ups - we should have had outstanding service.

Food was beautifully prepared and served. All delicious. The soufflé desert was one of the best we’ve ever had. Service friendly and polite ( not invasive ) have been here several times before and always enjoyed it. Well done Overall a lovely experience Hope to be back soon.

About the restaurant

Fine food with a fine view

Perched on the end of the iconic Rose Bay Marina sits a restaurant that is quietly but carefully making a name for itself - Regatta Restaurant & Bar. This restaurant (and it’s sister Tide Cafe) operate in the shop front that once housed a small boat hire in the 1920s, and as you can imagine the backdrop is pretty spectacular. The restaurant dining space (on the first floor) is large and modern, the harbourside bar is relaxed and contemporary and the Tide Cafe (on the ground floor) is the perfect place to sun soak and ‘boat watch’. The menu is rich with Modern Australian delights and given the restaurants proximity to the ocean, seafood is a no brainer. Enjoy million dollar views and fine food - what could be better?

Best dish: pan roasted barramundi, baby cos, parsnip & bitter orange.
