Excellent food and service!

Called back again after last year visit and found quality of food had dropped the tropical salad starter was basically lettuce and couple tomato's and apple with no dressing mains was fish of day that was ok except sweet potato was cold and inedible, overall was disappointed in last year's experience and would not go back.

Main course was good but disappointed with starter. Even with the 50 % discount £12 for 6 mussels is very expensive. Service slow although they did apologise. Won't be going back.

Fish skewer very good. Roquefort sauce with tender fillet steak a bit thin, not very cheesy and too creamy. Friendly service

An enjoyable evening with a relaxing atmosphere and attentive staff. The meat was cooked to our request of medium and we were not disappointed. The sweets were delicious especially the cheesecake

Very nice lunch cooked as we wished . Excellent shrimps in garlic and espada fish main . Well worth a visit - we will return next time we’re in Madeira.

Liked everything from a great welcoming by staff, cosy atmosphere to perfect dishes (shrimps as starter, scabbardfish with banana and sweet potato as main dish). Prefect choice for my first evening in Madeira.

Service was excellent. Staff were welcoming and most importantly, the food was excellent. 2nd time here and as always, fantastic. If you in Funchal, book it. Fillet steak, amazing.

We had visited Regional Flavours the year before, but I believe it has changed ownership since then. Some of the staff are still there and we received a warm welcome. I had requested an outside table on the booking and evening in person prior to visiting, but the table was inside. However, the staff were very quick to correct this and prepared us an outside table which was great. Menu was very similar to the year before, mainly seafood starters for us with mussels, limpets and prawns which were all very good. Mains, rack of lamb, filet steak and the calamari were all excellent. My wife and I ordered the regional and we were both very disappointed compared to last year, the beef was well done, partly our fault as we said medium and should have asked for rare, but it was as if they had prepared just one skewer and just halved it, as the year before the skewers were huge. Wine list was limited and I found it expensive. On the whole not as good as an experience as the year before.

This restaurant was a great find. The staff was very welcoming and friendly. The dishes were excellent. We will definetly go there again! Thumbs up!
