It is the 2nd time in 1 week, just cant get enough wagyu. We enjoyed the marble 9 wagyu and the varity of sashi, sushi and entrees had on offer. It was an excellent birthday for all of us.

newly innovated place. quite a good place to have a business lunch. But more expensive then before in the old place. Easy to find and close to train station.

Food was amazing as always and excellent service. Had the classic sashimi platter and a couple of wagyu beef for BBQ. Also had the black sesame pana cotta which is unexpectedly good. Highly recommended and would go back any time.

The service here was awful. It took over 30 minutes to bring out meat dishes which were presumably sitting in a fridge. We also ordered 2 of each a la carte dish and 2 of the same dish would come out 30 minutes apart. Overall very disappointing

Renovated and reopen -although staff members were friendly and hard working, fine dining price without fine service, food is still great but still felt overpriced

Really like the new renovation. Love how there’s more variety now and they also kept the old yakiniku. Service was a bit all over the place but forgivable considering only just restarted.

Visited this restaurant during their soft opening at the new location. The decor was really nice with open kitchen. However they no longer offer the wagyu buffet. The tuna and salmon sashimi (6 pieces) took nearly an hour to arrive (it arrived last when we have already finished the BBQ). The stone pot for bibimbap wasn’t hot enough and the rice was soggy. Wagyu beef was good but the oil was spitting out onto us while cooking maybe due to design of the BBQ. We spent $120 per person and didn’t feel it was good value. My husband said he really misses the old Rengaya!

Absolutely one of the best Japanese bbqs in Sydney. The wagyu beef just melts in your mouth, with just enough seasoning to enhance the quality of the meat. Definitely recommend trying at least once!
