Had a lovely meal with attentive service. Too bad it was the 3rd last night before they close.

We had a wonderful experience at Reserve Wine Bar. Food was very good. We had the "feed me" menu with premium wines. Standout dishes for us were the Fried Portabello and the Seared Warroo Kangaroo. Service was exactly as advertised "formal yet informed". All staff were very welcoming and friendly. Will definitely go back.

Been twice in two weeks on a quiet Tuesday night. Very enjoyable, nice friendly service and food from a chief who really cares. Excellent on both occasions.

More vegan options would be appreciated. They have items on the menu that were dairy free only to be told no they aren’t and it was a miss print. Don’t think it’s that hard in this day and age that chefs can’t get these things right so everyone in your party can have something to choose from and not just one thing.

About Reserve Wine Bar

Welcome to Newcastle’s first grape emporium At home on Hunter Street in the hub of Newcastle, Reserve is the perfect spot to relax after a busy week. Take a seat at the bar or sink into a lounge and order a glass of the Tasmanian Pinot Noir. The small plates menu works perfectly to complement the expansive wine selection. Of course you have to order the charcuterie board with chorizo, pickles and burrata! If you and your crew are feeling quite peckish, go for the roast chicken with bread stuffing to share. Best dish: Half roast chicken with bread stuffing.
