Innovative fine dinner emphasising Australian native ingredients. Any visit to Adelaide for a foodie should include Restaurant Orana.

The best fine dining experience I have ever had! The service was absolutely brilliant, I loved interacting with all the staff and we were made to feel completely comfortable for the beautiful hours we spent dining. The food was absolutely delicious and wonderfully innovative! A handful of the dishes were some of the best things I’ve ever eaten. The sommelier was also wonderful and helped us perfectly pair wine to all the dishes. Such a fun night and still glowing from it the next day!

I love everything except the setting of the tables. Feels a bit weird sitting in a singular direction facing other patrons and they are sitting facing us too. Seat placements needs a little adjusting.

Overall it was a nice dinner but I was expecting a bit more in terms of food quality and service; as it was named restaurant of the year 2018. I must say I have had a better degustation experience in this region SA and it was definitely cheaper in price and better in service.

Absolutely brilliant. And the shorter lunch menu is unbelievably good value.

I also dropped off some samples for Jock products which may be of interest to him, I own Sacred Grove which specializes in Australian Native Botanicals, products like Tea, Spice and more, I have provided them to him in the past, I know they would be an outstanding fit to Orana, am happy to chat further , kind regards from me Edmund mobile 0476658539. I took my Mother for her Birthday and she absolutley loved it, thank you very much from both of us.

Food was fantastic - expensive but worth the cost! Only complaint was that the wines were very expensive with no cheaper options at all, would have preferred a fairly basic wine since we were spending so much on the meal. The matched drinks were great, especially the non-alcoholic option which was very interesting, but the wines were a bit wasted on us as we're not exactly wine connoisseurs.

About Restaurant Orana

Putting Adelaide back on the dining map Orana. It means welcome in some Aboriginal language. Welcome to Adelaide’s extraordinary twenty five seat restaurant, located up a flight of stairs, right in the heart of Rundle Street. Chef Jock Zonfrillo has put Adelaide back on the map for destination diners. His degustation menu takes diners on a journey into the tastes of Australia across about twenty different dishes - ten bite-sized snacks, six main courses, three desserts and bread. The food is very Australian, and sparkles with life and energy - think food with the spirit of Australia’s wild and indigenous plants, grasses and animals. It’s confident, assured and original. Jock, you’re a star.
