Always good. Strongly suggest staying at Bannisters.
Great restaurant. Fresh seafood. Amazing fish fritters. Delicious dessert choc fondant. Doesn't disappoint.
The staff knew both the wines and the food and were very welcoming as well as not too intrusive. Karen the maitre'd was especially helpful. Would definitely recommend
Was a great night
This restaurant feels crisp, fresh and has a good menu
My steak was cooked rare just how i like it and i find it always overcooked at other establishments but it was devine! My partner made mention his fish was the best he had eaten! We will be back:)
Absolutely amazing food. A local must!!! Great mocktails too.
There are a number of lovely restaurants that we have been to in Port Stephens but this one just has that edge in ambience and class. While the food and wines are more expensive by comparison, the service is excellent and ultimately you get what you pay for.
A very enjoyable experience as a solo diner.
The wine is expensive on any measure. Probably $50 was the minimum per bottle. By the glass it was generally around $17. With respect this restaurant is an average good establishment, 200ks from Sydney in a very average middle income area. It’s prices put it in the league of top end high rental Sydney City establishments. That sours the experience. Not really repeatable.
First time visit to Rick Stein in Port Stephens after several visits to Mollymook. Food is great especially the Fish Pie however the risotto was lacking flavour which was disappointing. I still would visit again as there are plenty of items to try!
Really enjoy everything about this restaurant. Great service, food and general good feeling of fabulous Thank you
Enjoyable night part of our baby moon
Service up until almost the end reasonable however we thought the coffee machine may have been broken as we weren’t offered coffee etc.
overall a great atmosphere in the dining room the bar area was really cool and service was great. the food was disappointing, we ordered the Crab and seafood pie both came out luke warm- the seafood in the pie tasted like it was frozen not fresh and the flavours weren't great.
We had a wonderful lunch. Views were beautiful, decor relaxing and food amazing. Everything we expected and more.
It was really expensive for food I cook at home myself. Dining out should be an experience which was not so for me
Wines too expensive for the area. The themed menu was lacking in excitement compared to the Mexican themed lunch
Booked well in advance but on our arrival they don’t preallocate tables you just get a choice of what is left so going in for a 7pm booking was a disadvantage. This isn’t the ideal way to run a fine dining restaurant. We were offered a table next to kitchen and a couple of prams so had to request another table.
