Riley St Garage was perfect for my anniversary with my partner. I requested prior to the evening for a good seat and they were able to deliver! Will be coming back again :)

We always love dining here. Interesting and delicious menu, fabulous fitout and ambience. The service is friendly and attentive. Oh, and smoky bbq truffle oysters. Need I say more?

Another fantastic dining experience. Just loved being part of the "We're 6 years old" celebrations. The jazz background music provided by the trio was fabulous. The degustation menu was innovative, superbly delicious and the perfect variety of food options. Congratulations! Just love the place!

My son who works locally to the restaurant and I both had the burger. Great. Especially liked the black sesame seed bun.

We got the $110 Banquet set and there was so much food we couldnt finish it! Make sure you go on an empty stomach! The food was great and came out very fast, and the service was lovely.

We hadn’t eaten here for a while and decided to come here to celebrate a special occasion . We enjoyed our food, but the service was not slick . We shared between 2 and 4 in our party but the food came out erratically . The lamb shoulder was noteworthy as was the lemon cheesecake and fish tacos . We were also surprised at how empty the restaurant was as previously it was packed to capacity. We still had an enjoyable evening.

About the restaurant

Park Yourself at this Slick Garage

Set back from the whirl of William Street, Riley Street Garage is a slick restaurant and bar that once housed Lessey's Drive Yourself (a car hire business), and more recently, a private parking lot. Today, this little gem has a very different purpose. Located in a grand, art deco style building, built in 1934, Riley Street is a dark and sexy space with food, drink and seating options to suit all kinds of diverse dining journeys. The industrial interior features original exposed brick walls, preserved steel rafters and an impressive, and expansive timber bar where oysters are shucked to order and cocktails are poured to perfection. The drinks list is comprehensive, with a strong emphasis on tequila, rum and whisky, and plenty of wines that traverse the globe. The food has a melting pot of influences, from Asian to American, sashimi to corn dogs, complete with small, share and main dishes, offering flexibility for every type of diner. Riley St Garage's philosophy of “I’d rather eat in a bar then drink in a restaurant” certainly shines through with decibels building as the night kicks on. Park yourself at the bar, at a table, or in a booth and get ready for a fun-filled night out at this reconstructed garage. The experience is unmatched in Sydney. See for yourself.
