Cool restaurant in a motorbike workshop hidden down a lane way. Menu looked good but prices for a few of the items ordered like carrot curry seems to be overly priced given the ingredients and what it was. Liked the creativity in dishes with a contemporary Japanese touch! Wine list had a good range to try didn’t haven’t any of the cocktails. Nice experience but not sure if I would go back unless some of the prices weren’t tweaked.

First time visit. The food was really delicious. I enjoyed the seared blue fish, roasted carrots and smoked duck. A nice relaxing place for dinner.

My partner and I had a lovely experience at Rising Sun. The cured fish, mushroom katsu, lamb and squid were delectable but the pancake was underwhelming. We also had to wait quite a long time between courses, which was disappointing. We loved the food on the whole however and hope the service will be better next time.

The venue is super fun, definitely suits the brunch/lunch vibes but the dinner menu (which we had) was quiet a high price point than expected and menu was recommended for sharing but was was not very share serving friendly in regards to how it was plated up and portion size. But the plating was enticing.

Friendly service and great layout. Some dishes are a hit and miss. We noticed most of our dishes were very salty.

Interesting menu. High lights included the chicken nugget bao and red dragon rice cakes. Cold sobs was disappointingly bland.

This place could be a neighborhood gem - the food and concept is brilliant - but bright lighting and poor service let’s it down . Staff are inattentive, drinks took an eternity to arrive, and they asked us to leave at 10pm.

It was a very nice and cool location, tucked behind the busy streets of Newtown/Enmore. The mix of a restaurant and a workshop was really nice and aesthetic. I would have to say the food - some I really enjoyed while others were just average - for example, the mushroom I had was really good! However, I would want to go back and try their breakfast/lunch menu!

This place is famous for ramen, though it is not served for dinner (just good to note). The dinner menu is Japanese themed with a modern approach. The wings are a must have, possibly the best I have ever tried.
