Friendly , quick service and lovely meal.
Great food and friendly service. Always happy to return.
The waitresses we had were very friendly and helpful with menu swap out. The only thing was the guy behind the counter when we went to pay. He was average and not really engaging which should not be the case. Other than that the food was delicious. We will be back again.
Food is always great. As is service.
Grsat food and friendly service. Generous serves. A winner.

Staff extremely attentive......Food excellent..............
Rock Salt has a wonderful vibe. Relaxing casual atmosphere with beautiful food.
friendly staff who made you feel welcomed. Food was solid, very tasty. Menu could be a bit more adventuresome. Having said that the mains we chose were tasty and well enjoyed.
We arrived at noon and needed to leave for a 1pm film nearby. We ordered the specials, pork cutlet and Mexican braised beef, both very tasty and served promptly. Will be back.
Can get a little noisy at times

Rock your socks off
Situated on Bay Street and just off of the Napean Highway sits Rocksalt Café, a vibrant and fresh offering just a stroll from a stretch of St Kilda Beach in Brighton. But there are no thongs and singlets in this café - no sir! This open and inviting restaurant may be casual dining but serves up quality food and quality service every time.
The dining room is light and bright and contrasted by dark wood furnishings. The atmosphere of the restaurant changes over the course of any one day;there is a more casual feeling in the morning during breakfast service, followed by a more business-like lunch service and finally a dinner service best suited for a casual meal with friends or a large family gathering.
Service is quick and the staff are very friendly and quick to recommend suitable dishes to their customers. And there is certainly some great food to choose from! Try the Rock Pancakes with bananas and walnut for breakfast, the vegetarian Agnolotti for lunch and the Oregano & Lemon Chicken for dinner. The portions are generous and well priced and as a licensed restaurant you will not be short for a beer or a wine to accompany your evening meal.
Make Rocksalt Cafe one of your stops during your next visit down to St Kilda Beach - if you can't make it in for a meal just drop in for a coffee and a cake! A great addition to the Brighton area.
Best dish: The Rock Chicken Parma - an oldie but a goodie!
