Food was average.
The people were friendly and the atmosphere was warm and inviting.
It's a nice place to eat with fam..would like to go back again. The food was great but small servings
Good food and service lovely night
We enjoyed our meal and the atmosphere was nice...but we waited an hour for our meal. Considering we only ordered mains, we thought it was rather poor service.
very traditional and delicious food and good old feeling.
Great place for couples or families. Friendly service and excellent food.
great food great service very friendly top atmosphere
Amazing service, product and environment. Highly recommend!
The free pig on spit was great and the sides of brushetta, large cut chips, salt and pepper squid etc were excellent. Well cooked and good value. We will be back
Pork knuckles should have lovely crackling on the outside not a rubbery mess
We forgot to mention our fork discount when ordering. When mentioned later staff could not have been more helpful in organising for us.. Beef and mushroom pie was quirky in a sardine tin but most enjoyable.
It was nice to go back after not being for a very long time
Lovely old pub with tasty food! My family had the burgers and I had the pork knuckle. Everything was delicious! I will definitely be back. Just make sure you rug up if it’s a cold day. We were inside and by the fire and it was still cold!
Could have been warmer - the fire had only recently been lit and the doors were open.
Food was excellent . Short staffed very busy needed more staff however staff were very good and worked hard. Also fire not started very cold. Ordered coffee no milk had to go and purchase some
They ran out of pork knuckles. The service at the bar was very slow. There is a bad sewerage smell that wafts through the place. The smell has been there for a long time, on quite a few visits. It’s a great atmospheric pub but could improve on the points mentioned.
Food was disgusting. Drinks were served in new glasses straight from the box - unwashed and still with stickers on them. Service was snail pace. Overall not a pleasant dining experience.
Good food, good selection on menu
