Friendly family feel
They need to have more drink options. Food was really good.
Great food and service. Will be back
This is one of our family’s favourite places. It’s a hidden gem with something for everyone. The food is consistently delicious and the service is brilliant. Highly recommend.
Highlight was the dumplings, kebabs were dry
A nice quiet place, good food and friendly obliging staff. I will visit this place again.
Fantastic food and very child friendly venue with plenty of space between tables for prams/high chairs.
Fantastic meal. Friendly service. Cant wait to return. Ann and Polly
Best Afghan food in Adelaide!
A really lovely family run business who clearly love what they do. Tasty food & friendly service + HEAPS of vegan options. Highly recommend the leak dumplings- get the large and take left overs home because they're amazing cold the next day hahaha
Excellent Afghani food which is fragrant and very tasty without being chilli-hot. One of the nicest meals anywhere with excellent service and a BYO option for drinks
Food is delicious & the reason we keep returning to this restaurant- favourites include the traditional lamb shoulder, eggplant dish & spinach curry.
Good for family
Fresh herbs and very tasty meals. More food than we could eat and not much left on the plate because it was so yum.
Great food and I highly recommend the lamb shoulder and the eggplant dishes!
Amazing amazing food!
$10 corkage was fantastic value, used to be on Norwood Parde, this whole section of Prospect Rd is becoming the cool place for Persian culture
food was very tasty
Absolutely delicious food! Really interesting and exciting flavours. I will definitely be back again soon.
The food was extremely tasty and the serves were generous. Definitely will go back to try other dishes from the menu as well.

A place fit for a king
Take a time-travelling expedition back to ancient Persia through the doors of Rumi Palace. The light and bright decor with its beautiful tiling, bright lights and Middle Eastern style crockery mixes together the best of the modern with the best of the traditional. A little something old and a little something new. Well located on The Parade and just around the corner from Norwood Hoyts Cinemas, this is a fantastic pre-movie dinner location for lovers and non-lovers alike!
Diners will enjoy a varied and traditional Afghani/Iranian style menu that involves lots of spices and plenty of naan bread. Choose from the delicious Roses Kebab (lamb with onion, herbs and served with naan) or the tasty Ashak (Afghan fried dumplings). As a family run restaurant the chefs take particular pride in everything they serve.
The restaurant is a busy one but don't let that turn you off. The level of service is impeccable and the staff will ensure that they take the time to explain any of the dishes and then have the meals to your table as quick as a flash!
Open for both lunch and dinner all you need to do is grab a group of friends, scoop up your wife or husband, stash a bottle of wine in your handbag and head on down to Rumi Palace.
Best dish: the most kick-ass dessert we have ever tasted - Shollezard (rice, sugar, rosewater, saffron, slivered almonds with a cinnamon topping).
