This is our local Indian restaurant and also the best in the area.

Apart from slow service, we could not find anything to fault. The take away & Uber Eats seem to get priority over in house diners?

Lovely staff and atmosphere. Thoroughly enjoyed our family dinner out! Entrees and butter chicken were a standout.

Lovely food. They were very busy and it was quite noisy. The staff handled it very well. We enjoyed our meal.

We opened and pored our own wine as the servers never can for quite a while and we weren’t able to catch their eye. But after that we were very well looked after and the food was amazing and very quick to the table

Saffron was a lovely dining experience. We had the Chicken Tikka and the Biryani. Both were very nice but I must say the chicken Tikka was very well done. The naans too were very nice.

About Saffron Indian Restaurant

Hot, Sweet and Indian Sharing its moniker with the most precious and exotic of spices, Saffron lives up to its name. In a little shop a bit like the Tardis (it’s magically bigger on the inside) you’ll find Saffron down at the Inglewood end of Beaufort Street, which is an area that is getting quite a buzz about it. You’ll find the staff charming, helpful, discreet and knowledgeable. The decor is effortlessly sophisticated and the atmosphere is soothing and conducive to a fine dining experience. The menu offers traditional regional Indian food, expertly prepared and presented. If you can handle it, try the seriously hot Chicken Vindaloo – the Goan vindaloo sauce is one of the chef’s specialities. For a milder, but no less flavoursome taste experience, the Chicken Marsala combines succulent boneless chicken pieces with an onion Marsala sauce and fresh cream. They have a busy takeaway trade as well, so if you’d rather eat in front of the telly… Best dish: Prawn Jhal Frezi
