7.5/10The staff were friendly and the restaurant had a nice atmosphere. The food was good but I would not say it was amazing. For the price you pay I would expect a little more flavour for the food.

8/10Outstanding service and quality food. Unfortunately there is always one patron capable of making enough noise to turn exquisite into ordinary.

10/10This little restaurant is a gem. Service professional yet friendly. Excellent wine list and food outside the box. The raclette option is a cracker. One of my very favourites.

7/10I had the raclette and was a bit disappointed. We were sat in the courtyard which was a bit cold and crowded.

7.5/10Loved the cheese of the week, that was a standout! Friend had the margarita, which she felt was average. I enjoyed the VIC cider. Really cute alfresco dining that was separate to the street which made the experience a whole lot nicer. The server was also attentive and helpful.

8.5/10We had a great night at St Urban: the food was delicious (we particularly enjoyed the steak), there was a range of good wines to choose from, and the atmosphere felt both cozy and private. The staff were very helpful and knowledgeable about the menu. This was particularly apparent because there was a diner in our group with several dietary allergies and they accommodated him beautifully. We will be back.

8.3/10The quality of every dish we selected was excellent. We were most excited by the entree selection and the charcuterie plate. Nice venue for a local bite, but a bit expensive to be a weekly affair.

Richmond's holiest wine bar
Named after Saint Urban, a Bishop of Langres in France during the 4th century, this might just be Melbourne's holiest wine bar. Described as a place for a coffee, a drink, a snack or a meal, Saint Urban doesn't take itself too seriously. Beautiful arched windows, worn woods and handmade blue tiles make up the interior of the small fifty seater dining area that's warm, inviting and easily a place that you could stay for hours. It's a place where people can catch up over a glass of wine (there's Australian and European wines on offer), a plate of cheese or charcuterie in the afternoon or share a slow-braised lamb shoulder and a bottle of red for dinner. But the question is, will you walk out a saint or a sinner?
