Average hot starter, great mains, tasty noodles. Good service. But for the price of the dishes and been one of the top Japanese restaurant in Brisbane. We expect a bit better and more attentive in service.

This is the first time I ordered popcorn shrimp. I expected it better as it is one of the signature dishes. Not sure why but it didn’t taste anything special. The kingfish cold starter is really good though. I went there today as I really wanted the signature dish toothfish. I was quite disappointed that they didn’t have that today, which is really strange.

Incredible meal for an unbeatable price. We were right in front of the chefs and it made it a phenomenal experience to watch the culinary wizardry unfold!

The oysters and and the duck were divine. Friendly staff and the courses were timed just right. We were seated at the back wall, a bit too dark for our liking.

We had a drink at the bar waiting for a table first. The bartender recommended an absolute amazing cocktail for me. He is so friendly and even they were very busy he took time to explain what the drinks are like and made nice recommendations. This is the 3rd time we had dinner at Sake as the food is simply AMAZING! The cold starter salmon and kingfish were so yummy and I just wanted more. Last night we tried the glacier 51 toothfish. It was so tender that it just melted in my mouth. The steamed prawn dumpling was stunning. My partner said” now I know why you keep wanting to come back”. ???????? The staff members at Sake are so friendly and helpful. The team member who looked after us last night was Agnus. He has definitely taken customer service to the next level. He is courteous, friendly, experienced and so caring. He bent down to talk to us to make us feel so welcomed and warm. Thanks Agnus! This is the best dinning experience I have ever had. I will keep going back.

The lunch did not live up to the normal standards of Sake - delivery of dishes was painfully slow although of high quality. It is a nonsense to leave at 2,15pm under the booking agreement when you are only three quarters through the menu because of slow delivery. I guess this occurred because of the Melbourne Cup

Cold starters are top notch as always. Great service and ambiance. Excellent presentation of dishes. Sushi rice was dry and average especially given the usual price. Hot dishes are also average to good but not outstanding.

Beautifully decorated space, but could definitely benefit from some improvements. One gentleman was very nice and helpful, while another lady was serving table with a half-hearted attitude. The seats were cracking and distracted from an otherwise wonderful atmosphere. The view was fantastic but the food was not quite up to the price-tag. Overall, great for photos but not so great for foodies.

Food was great but service was a little slow and we waited 15 mins after sitting down to someone to ask if we wanted water/drinks. After that though meals were delicious and would definitely go back!

On arrival ordered cocktails at the bar, very slow in coming out. The food was very tasty but I thought in general the drinks list was overpriced for what it was

The set menu was perfectly created. Food was tasty and the look was beautiful. Service was top-notch. One of the best Japanese restaurant in Brisbane. We were thinking of dine here so that we can watch riverfire, however we did not have a seat by the window, but it was a great night anyways, we were drawn in by the food and did not care about what was happening outside. Top choice.
