Excellent
Scrumptious meal - delicious oysters, capellini, steak, fish, creme brûlée, panacotta, own baked bread - all delicious - wines to match - wait service was really pleasant and efficient with a great ambience - a delightful night.
Great night
We love this little local restaurant just 5 minutes from home. The food is beautifully presented and doesn’t disappoint. I can’t resist the scallops every time. Had our favourite fish on the menu last night, Nannygai, simply served with a lemon sauce. Finished the meal with orange creme brûlée. The quality is excellent. Staff very friendly and attentive. Swapping potatoe to puréed cauliflower with my fish, was no problem. I really enjoyed the music choice in the background which wasn’t too loud that you can’t her over it. Excellent value.
Took a while to get attention. Pleasant environment. Service was average. Food was delicious but not enough quantity for the prices. Gnocchi at $32 is too much.
Our party of nine thoroughly enjoyed our night out at Salsa Rossa. The food was fabulous as usual, the waitress was attentive, efficient and friendly. We loved the happy and relaxed atmosphere. You have nine fans!
We couldn't be happier with the meal and wine this week - steak cooked to perfection bring rave reviews from two at our table, kangaroo delectable - fish always delicious , tender scallops, capellini with just that extra bite of chilli - good choice of desserts and a Margaret River Shiraz to complement. Excellent, again.
I haven’t eaten at this venue for a very long time. We were pleasantly surprised at how much we enjoyed our visit last night. Friendly, efficient service, good food and wine list. Our table for two was in a corner and right on top of a rattling grill leaning on the wall so I can’t say I appreciated the ambience. The restaurant wasn’t near full so I do think that we could have been seated elsewhere even if the empty tables were set up for four people. Other than that small complaint we were happy with our dining experience and will definitely visit again.
Discovered restaurant on Friday and went back again tonight! Delicious food , well presented and reasonably priced. Service very good, polite, friendly and efficient.
Heard that it was good and was looking forward to going. I thought the staff were friendly always a good starting point. The food was super yummy-I thought the bread was very good. The vegetables excellent especially the duck fat potatoes. I had the scollops which were delicious. We had 7 in our party and everyone had something different and enjoyed it all. I am looking forward to going back soon and take otger friends.
We love dining at Salsa Rosss. Beautiful intimate venue with great ambiance. The food food is always exceptional and the just staff enough. Highly recommend.
This was probably one of the most delicious meals we have had in a long time. We had the snapper and the pork followed by fig pudding and creme brûlée. All were fantastic. Ambiance was lovely and music at the right level. ????
what a joy it was to meet friends and enjoy a truly delicious meal in this small but comfortable restaurant. We each enjoyed our meals and vowed to return.
Loved everything about this restaurant the food, service and ambience. Great location and well is priced for the area. It has a fantastic menu with the option of a set price for entree, main and dessert which is good value
Lovely little restaurant! Highly recommended.
Unusually, we were very disappointed with the food. We had the octopus and potato starter, which was swimming in far too much squid ink and a storm of paprika. But even worse, the octopus was intensely salty, really hard to eat it was so bad. We both had the steak for the main course. The quantity was generous and it was cooked medium rare as we requested, BUT again, the steak was intensely salty; we could not finish it. This level of saltiness completely spoils the flavours and is very unhealthy particularly for those of us that have hypertension. This level of saltiness is inexcusable in a professional kitchen. Please speak to your chef and remind them that we can always add more salt if we need to, but we cannot take any away (unless we sneak out wash it off in the toilet sink!). We will be very reluctant to return. Raymond Blanc taught me at Le Manoir aux Quat'Saisons that chefs cannot judge the salt if they are not properly hydrated, therefore all his chefs are equipped with their own water bottle in the kitchen to remain properly hydrated.
Consistently great food and service. Always greeted by friendly staff. Great example as to why we should support local business. Will be back again.
Delicious!! The food was fresh and tasty. The scallops on cauliflower purée was the best. Certainly hidden gem a short walk from the Tradewinds Hotel.
My partners dinner was great, however mine was almost inedible - explained the problem to the Waiter and was disappointed to receive no response (was not looking for a bill reduction, just an apology!).
Had a delicious meal with friends. We all ordered something different and every dish was perfect. A little pricey but worth it because of the quality. We shall return.
Wait staff always welcoming, efficient and pleasant - food choices always give a good variety - the chef is amazing - food consistently delicious. Always an enjoyable experience which keeps us returning to our favourite restaurant
