While the bistro was busy we still got great service and didn't have to wait too long. Recommend the sharing platter- everyone thought this was a winner!

Started off fine with lovely service from our drinx waiter. Tends be a bit loud when full, but has good vibes. Only downer was they got one of the orders wrong & before we ordered we were told its an hour wait for food. If they had go the order right well its a perfect score. Will be back for sure. ;-)

It had been a while since my last visit to the Sandy Hotel and I was pleasantly surprised. The service was excellent. There was something for everyone in my family on the menu (from healthy buddha bowls to steak, fish and other meals we expect at a pub). I had the barramundi, which was delicious. The drinks list offered well-priced and varied wines and beers. The interior has had a much-needed makeover since our last visit. The surrounds are now a bit more sophisticated, while retaining the beach feel and making the most of the views. It was a bit noisy when we ate (early on a Sunday night), but there were a lot of families with young kids. We'll definitely be back!

It’s a pub and the menu is interesting - we had the mixed starter for 2 and the ribs were amazing - but the calamari was chewy and limp. The staff were ‘interesting’ characters but seemed all at sea as to whether it was table service or order at the bar. The positioning of the wait here to be seated spot is all wrong at this venue.

The staff were very welcoming and accommodating..the place was booked out for a Sunday lunch, which clearly sends a message about the new and improved Sandy Hotel! We will definitely be back.

Still need some form of childrens entertainment that you see all the kids congregating all around on the floors in groups playing need a dedicated child spot like of old Sandy!

Haven’t been to The Sandy since it’s refurbishment and I wasn’t disappointed. Lovely atmosphere and food. Was a tad loud when busy however this was bearable. Recommended!

We understood there had been big changes at the Sandy. But not really noticeable. Children still running around and crying babies. Air conditioning way too cold, making our meal uncomfortable - and a quick one, to get out somewhere warmer. Serving sizes are good but the food is just OK for the price. Our entree never arrived, but the meals for other diners did. The wine arrived halfway through our meal.
