Excellent
Thoroughly enjoyed Sauma. Great variety in the menu and a lot to choose from. Service was great and place was clean and have a lovely ambience. Will definitely be back
Best dish of the night, the Kerala pork curry. Service was a bit uneven with the one who might have been the most senior server, verging on unpleasant. Other servers were friendly and nice.
Delicious food and great service.
Despite being 40 minutes late, they were able to offer me a table, and helped with recommendations of food to choose. The Lamb Rib was the best dish we tried, followed by the cured salmon. The only disappointing choice we made was the cheese naan, which was just a bit bland and boring by comparison to the other dishes.
Love Sauma always. This time there probably weren't the strength of flavours I expected in the curry or the salad but they were still enjoyale. The Baji was delectable!
Delicious Indian with contemporary twist! We will be back.
This is a fab spot in the city for some good Indian food. Great atmosphere. Good portions, also with a good selection of vegetarian dishes. One possible improvement would be attentiveness- we weren’t offered a dessert menu, nor were we asked if we’d like more to drink.
Wonderful food. Lamb Shanks Curry to die for.
Everything is delicious. Nothing on the menu is mediocre.
Attentive prompt service, delicious food, great atmosphere. Easy to see why there are always queues out the door! Some of the best Indian food I've ever had!
Really great food and a varied menu
Great place for a meal , especially if you want a quick service and imaginative cooking. Thanks we really enjoyed the atmosphere and food. We were made to feel welcome and we had plenty of interesting dishes to choose, Di and Kieith Ludeman
Great food, great atmosphere, friendly staff. Perfect night out. Fantastic street food starters. Informal, serves booze, what's not to like?
We love Sauma but hadn’t been for a long time. Loved the sweet touch of the floating water and candle bowl near our table. Food was authentic, fresh and delicious. Fantastic for a tasty pre-theatre dinner.
The food was so fresh, delicious and authentic! Loved the pre-theatre ‘Fully Sikh’ menu and the lovely cucumber/citrus mocktail they made for me.
Enjoyed Sauma especially after the Black Swan show and Sikh experience. Delicious food and excellent service. Altogether we had a great night.
Absolutely love this place!
Great evening food excellent a little on the expensive side
Great place for all occasions
Booked a table for 8pm sat Night. Place was full and Buzzing. Service was excellent all night. we picked the STREET FOOD ADVENTURE menu at $50 a head. we are not big eaters, portions were small but tasted lovely. All in all, a lovely place to eat, but felt it was a little pricey for this menu.

Indian street food comes alive
At the heart of enlivened, heritage Northbridge Sauma adds a chicly rustic meeting place to Perth’s cultural precinct. Set facing the vibrant hub of a bright and animated community, Sauma presents a modern Indian street-food experience – emphasising freshness, creativity and raw charm. While outside the neighbourhood buzzes, the restaurant interior offers a playful invitation to calm with low light blushes on exposed wood, textiles and Bombay miscellany; cultivating a colourful warmth. The menu pays homage to Indian street food and the team’s love of West Australian produce with street, small and curry dishes. Dishes include morsels like waygu beef samosa roast cumin, cloves and beetroot ketchu; delhi chicken tikka tandoor roast chicken, cardamom, coriander, green apple and korma sauce; and cone bay barra fish curry shallots, ginger, green chili, curry leaves, beans and coconut milk. Sauma also operates as a deli by day offering coffee, tea, juice and lunch express specials.
Best dish: mountain style goat curry cooked on the bone, ginger, turmeric, chili, tomato, beetroot
