We tried the bar and the restaurant for dinner. The service was reasonably good. The menu looked good but the food was not quite up to what we expected . The oysters in the starter were very small. I had char grilled prawns and bugs. The bugs were overcooked and dry and my partner had kangaroo loin ordered medium rare. This came out just about well done which ruined her first experience of the meat. All in all below expectation.

Loved it. Food was fantastic and the service was great. Excellent location overlooking the beach. We will definitely be back. Loved the berry cheesecake for dessert. Not at all what I was expecting, but oh so good.

Wonderful service. Could not fault the wait staff. They accommodated dietary requests. The raw fish starter and the pacific lobster were not up to fine dining standard.

Fresh oysters were warm, Kingfish was warm, when we advised the waiter he said they should be cold and would speak with the kitchen, he then never came back to us on this point. Mains were okay however $45 for 2 bugs and $48 for minimal seafood in a stew was not value at all.

About Seascape Restaurant + Bar

A seafood sensation A trip to Surfers Paradise isn’t complete without a meal at Seascape Restaurant & Bar, a stunning venue that offers an incredible outlook over the beach and buzzing Esplanade. Ascend the contemporary timber staircase to the restaurant on the second floor and find yourself in a minimalistic, modern space that is the perfect backdrop for wining and dining. Seafood is the name of the game here and the restaurant sources a minimum of six different types of fresh fish daily; each one prepared specifically to showcase the unique tastes and textures of each fishy morsel. Start with an entree of maple-cured black kingfish with wasabi sorbet, wakame and sesame praline or cured duck breast before moving on to one of the daily catches. And if you really can’t choose opt for the five-course banquet and enjoy the Chef’s seafood selection. Or if you’re just looking for something a bit more casual head to the bar and bistro downstairs and grab some fish & chips and a glass of wine… this is a venue that is perfect for all occasions. Best dish: Tasmanian Atlantic Salmon, pan fried, dashi broth, 34 pickled mushrooms, edamame, kombu.
