Excellent food with particular mention about the beautifully authentic homemade gnocchi. Bruschetta was another delicious item on the menu
Food was great, service was welcoming. Nevertheless a hidden gem on Lygon st . The award winning pizza was amazing, spaghetti carbonara was magnificent but the chicken risotto was just average.
The promoted gnocchi dishes were fantastic. Well worth a visit and will return.
Excellent food and service, will definitely come back again. Music needed to be turned down a little thou but they were more than accomadating and we had kids too
Food was very tasty. Bruschetta good. Gnocchi with spinach and prawns was delicious. Insalata excellent. Staff friendly but could do with improving professional skills. Atmosphere too noisy. It was a busy night but had unpleasant thumping music, completely unnecessary and over the top of voices on a busy night made it difficult to hear the wait staff and talk with friends. Tables packed too closely together made the wait staff job serving and clearing almost impossible.
Perfect place to meet a friend for lunch on a Saturday. Quick service and excellent yummy gnocchi. Authentic Italian food, in convenient Lygon Street.
Very friendly staff. Pasta was freshly hand made and pasta sauces were yummy. We had the lasagna, gnocchi sorrentino, gnocchi pesto, and spaghetti carbonara, all very yummy.
Overall a good experience
Best gnocchi was melting in our mouths, and everything was fresh and delicious! Our servers were so friendly and accommodating, especially since I have food allergies. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for beautiful Italian food, served with warmth and care

Delicious gnocchi. Will be back.
Food was quite mediocre. Service was hit and miss- some staff were lovely.
We had an early dinner before the theatre and decided on Seasons Provodore for its authentic Italian menu. I'm sorry on this occasion we were disappointed. The restaurant was not heated and we sat in the corner with coats on, the chicken in the salad was overcooked, and the pizza although toppings were tasty the base and crust were hard and unpalatable. I also ordered cauliflower gratin which was delightful. This restaurant is in a great location and with a little tender loving care to the decor and the menu it should be a winner. I did enjoy the wine and the service was excellent.
Food was great with the 50% discount. Enjoyed the seafood stew. Looks good & taste yummy.
I don't like out door dining in Carlton, especially in winter. My only option for this restaurant was outside and I was extremely cold and so were my guests. This may have been a great restaurant, however, my location stopped me from experiencing this.
Super quirky with a guy out the front that nearly strong arms you into the restaurant, very rudely, then stands there for the rest of the times ordering the female waitresses around and doing nothing else. Since I was sitting in earshot and watching him, he created an awful atmosphere. The food was AMAZING, try the gnocci. Would I go back.. for the gnocci maybe, but the male-dominated awful atmosphere needs to be fixed first.
The dishes we tried are all really good and I highly recommend the pastas. Services was quick and with a smile. My family was happy adults and kids alike
Lovely Gnocchi .. great flavour, good service
Nice alfresco area
199 Lygon Street, 3053, Carlton, Australia
Caffeine a Go-Go. One thing Melbournians like to get snooty about is their coffee, and Seasons Provedore rise up to the challenge. This charming little Lygon Street eatery is a cafe-ish restaurant with intimate little tables and pretty modern furniture. It certainly has a dark and sophisticated look about it – to match the coffee we suppose. Here, the coffee is complemented with savoury treats and European desserts. From macaroons and cakes, to biscuits and tiramisu, their selection of boutique desserts will send your tummy rumbling into overdrive. And in the typical style of Lygon Street, the restaurant also serves delicious homemade Italian for lunch and dinner. You won´t find any cheap alternatives here; all the pasta is made on the premises and the difference shines in the taste. Plus the chefs know a thing or two about Italian cooking. Seasons will surprise you with how quickly they can whip out a quick bite to eat if you´re in a hurry, and they´re more than happy to cater for families and children. For a pleasant and simple experience on Lygon Street, come to Seasons Provedore.
