    The staff were friendly and helpful...but we did have to wait a very Long time for our food!! We think the order got lost! But they gave us a free drink in recognition. The food was good when it came, and the atmosphere suited us. We are not local but went pre-show, and despite the long wait, would try eating there again.

    Good for a casual dinner and pricing was reasonable. Seating was a bit tight inside and food took too long to come out even though there was a bigger group in front of us.

Stylising itself as a quaint St Kilda wine bar, Second Act puts it’s focus on its collection of boutique wines, cool craft beers and a kickin’ cocktail list so you don’t have to. To go with the drinks are of course a menu that go perfectly well with a tipple of two.

There’s fingers foods like Mac N Cheese Croquettes and Pork and Fennel Sausage Rolls but there’s also more substantial dishes too - the Porterhouse and Chips are always a winner for a midweek meal but the Nasi Goreng with prawn crackers and chilli oil also go down a treat too.

Best dish: Chicken Rissole Burger with spicy apple chutney and crinkle cut chips.
