Entree and shared starters were beautiful. Mains a little disappointing and lacking flavour. Staff were great. A little bit noisy as a few tables of 4or 6.
Fantastic service and great food, will definitely be back!!
Extremely disappointed in revisiting this restaurant to celebrate our wedding anniversary very loud noisy limited staff food servings small and no value at all for money. Poured on own drinks left hungry and unfortunately will not return nor recommend
Amazing, just go, you won't be disappointed! May the prawns never leave the menu! I know chef you sick and tired of them, but they are so yummy!!
This place is amazing, the food is superb the service is excellent, made us feel at home, will definitely go again and again, the atmosphere is warm and the host is a character
This restaurant is one of the gems of the shire. The owner and chel David loves his craft, loves his customers, and loves to mix with customers. That said, the cuisine is very creative, suitable for all palates as it caters for a diverse range of diners. The decor is apt and very well themed given the Korean overtones. Actually, Seven Lanterns’ cuisine is best described as Korean and Japanese with a Mediterranean twist. It is highly suggested that some dishes are shared, say for starters try Edamame or squid ink battered calamari tempura served w/saffron aioli, and then moving onto individual dishes. The names of the dishes are also creative, eg, The Silence of the Lanterns, or Take a Bao. My favourite dish is the Spicy Hot Chilli Chicken (GF or DF) which is chicken & potato slow cooked to reduction in chilli miso garlic shallot dried chilli & honey. Highly recommended is the Imperial Beef Rib Hot Pot (GF or DF) which is beef short rib marinated overnight in soy chunky garlic & shallot slow cooked in caramelised onion reduction served w/rice. Want a great meal? Want a friendly restaurant? Want a pleasant and inviting decor? Want a non-pretentious chef to speak to? Then go no further. But wait...and here is the attraction for me and my colleagues...it is BYO. My local restaurant of the year.
Food is good, service is a bit of the mark.
Great local gem. Yummy food, and excellent value on a sunday night with 20% off. I ordered the hot pot, only suggestion is that it would be great to come with some veggies for the price.
Great food great atmosphere
Food is amazing!!
Dave and his staff were as welcoming as ever! I've been here multiple times over the years and they are always amazing! Service is top-notch and the food is always great. Restaurant is in an awkward spot for parking if unfamiliar but there is a side street just after the row of shophouses.
Great food, service and atmosphere
Service above and beyond.

Beautiful food and the owners are so lovely. Can’t wait to go back and would definitely recommend!!
It was fabulous- the only thing is it was hard to hear. Would you consider putting carpet down? We loved the food and the service
Wonderful food. Interesting menu. Great service.
We were celebrating a friend’s birthday and Seven Lanterns was a great venue to do so. Thank you for the quality food and service, the sparkler on the dessert for my friend was a very nice touch.
