Great experience at Shiki! The food experience in particular was exquisite! Service seemed slightly lacking, potentially understaffed. But they did their best to provide a good service! Will return and try the private room dining next time!

When we arrived at the restaurant the booking was nowhere to be found. I don't know what went wrong they don't have my booking at all despite the confirmation email I received. We ended up sitting on the outside table. The food is okay but it takes forever for them to service a course. We spent $300 for two people dinner and no alcohol ordered. I won't go there again.

Shiki is Sydney’s longest established Japanese restaurant and the punters keep on coming back thanks to the fresh food and friendly service. The best way to experience Shiki is with their various set menu that changes each season. Or pick a few favourites from the a la carte menu, which has everything from crispy tempura and famous miso marinated gindara black cod to sushi rolls. The Wagyu beef, which is barbecued on pink salt and served at the table, is a winner, especially if you are looking for a bit of drama. The sashimi is always sparkling with freshness - we recommend you go for the deluxe sashimi plate that comes as a chef’s selection of five kinds of the finest raw fish, served with pink salt white soy sauce.
