Awesome food and great value
This was a fabulous experience. Not only is Chef Horst an excellent cook the atmosphere was great and watching him create the dishes was very entertaining. The wine was great too. To summarise, delicious food and very generous serves at an extremely reasonable price. Would highly recommend ????

Shingleback Winery was amazing. We had the Winefood experience and were blown away. The staff were warm, friendly and accommodating. The food by Chef Horst was truly delightful and the wine thoroughly enjoyable. You won't be disappointed.
Sensational food & wine. Chef Horst was fabulous explaining about the produce he used & then worked his magic, with unbelievable flavoursome food. Such a great concept & honestly, was the best meals we've had for a very long time. Great value for money too.

The setting was perfect, the staff was excellent and the food was beautiful, with a nice balance between wine and tastes. But for some reason I was expecting more, but I had a really great experience. Well worth the cost!
Cosy kitchen restaurant surrounded by vineyards. Nice and warm tasting room. Like the ambience overall the barn concept. Very courteous staff , friendly and accessible and shared the Shingleback history and developments. The food Spread was excellent And the food delicious especially the barramundi fish. All round excellence and the chef so professional and mingled well sharing the cooking infused with wine details. Jovial and friendly and made all 8 of us present for the day at home. The 2 complimentary wine bottles served at each table showed some of Shingleback good wine products. We will definitely come back with more of our friends to try the other seafood / on the rock menu. Thank u chef and your assistant for the beautiful experience. ????

Have been a few times and the food is amazing every time! Would recommend to anyone who loves food and wine! The chef Horst is a great host and great atmosphere.
You do not want to miss out on this experience. Chef Horst literally invites you into his kitchen for what is one of the most amazing food & wine experiences you will have. The choice between seafood and FoodWine tasting is a hard one (we came back after the seafood to experience the FoodWine, and were not disappointed). As McLaren Vale locals I can honestly say that this is the best foodie experience the Vale currently has on offer. Do not miss out!

What a great experience. We were met by Dave who invited us to the tasting room while the venue was being reset. My partner had a Semilon Sav Blanc and I a GSM; not usually a fan of Grenache I was pleasently supprised with this one. Both excelent wines Lunch was set up in the kitchen as an interactive experience where Chef Horst cooked up some true delight. From a wine cured salmon starter thru to perfect duck leg main, Horst's experience and passion for WineFood was evident. After main course one of our fellow diners jojed about having Bombe Alaska as a desert. It was a great suprise when chef Horst returned to serve desert and included a mini Bombe which he had 'just whipped up' Do yourself a favour, book in and enjoy the experience
We were made welcome from the start with wine tasting and then on to the kitchen with the very talented chef. The food was amazing. Cant wait to go back again!
