Sicilian green & black olives marinated in red wine vinegar, olive oil, fennel seed, chilli
Rolled Sicilian pizza, garlic, rosemary, extra virgin olive oil
Buffalo mozzarella, cherry tomato, fresh basil, olive oil
I had been waiting to come to Sicily for a while now and when we finally got the opportunity to i was quite excited. Upon arriving at the restaurant were were greeted beautifully by the host and shown to our bare table and didn't receive any menus for about 7-10 minutes. When we finally did receive our menus, the waitress came around not even 2 minutes later to take our order, at this point we weren't ready as we didn't even get a chance to look at the wine list but we knew roughly what pizzas we wanted. After choosing our meals and looking at the wine menu we had decided that we wanted to get a bottle to share, without us even looking at the menu the waitress jumps in and tells us she recommends a good bottle of red, doesn't ask us what we like, just points to one on the menu, we agree because we've had this bottle before but felt it was quite forced the way she recommended it (to be explained soon). When we received our wine glasses and water glasses, my water glass had a very distinct lipstick stain on it, when we received our side plates - that we had to ask for and they weren't just placed in front of us, we were told to dish them out ourselves, - one of the plates still had food on it - given that this was a busy saturday night and during the fringe, i understand, your constantly washing and re using.. but given the health and safety precautions that everyone is taking at the moment this is unacceptable! when we re-iterated this to the waitress, she apologised the basic way you should but basically said 'im sorry, but are you still going to eating your pizza', and walked off. I have NEVER received such terrible service from an individual ever, her attitude toward our complaint was terrible and it came across that the health and well being of not just us but anyone who was dining was of no importance. Back to the wine, this happened before the dirty plate incident, when we received our wine the bottle had already been opened before it came to us, which shows me that the reason the waitress was eager to suggest it was because it had been previously opened. After we got our wine we didnt have any table water so tried to wave down one of the bus boys that were headed toward us, he saw us and he pointed at us as if to wait a second, like you would to someone who wanted to talk to you while you were having an eager conversation on the phone!, luckily one of the other boys behind the bar saw this and came to our table to see what we were after. the pizza was great, loved that but im sorry i will not be coming back here ever after this experience of terrible service.
The wood oven pizza was thin and tasty. The staff were kept very busy serving and Turing over tables.
Staff were great and food was awesome! We had one of the group offers and had so much food we couldn’t even finish. Would definitely go back again with or without discount.
Surcharge applied on Sundays and Public Holidays which was not listed on the fork, service was excellent. Very odd that this venue is offering a promotion during Adelaide Fringe when generally tables are impossible to book/find at this location +1 for booking via the fork.
When we arrived, they didn’t have our reservation. Food was ok. When it came time to pay the bill, they said they wouldn’t honour our discount on a Sunday? Even though the reservation said 30% off. After we showed them the online booking confirmation they advised us we should of made them aware of the discount when we arrived..
I had great expectations of this restaurant, being at the same time aware that they had some negative reviews regarding service., So, holding my breath a little, we ordered the Porchetta and potatoes (highly recommended online), Etna pizza, and I think it’s called Mammozza or buffalo mozzarella with cherry tomatoes and drizzled pesto. Everything came out so quickly, we were sharing and had a booking for a Fringe show, so this suited us, the service was efficient not impersonal and the restaurant generally had a genial atmosphere with the wait staff chatting and laughing. This, in no way felt exclusive, everything there just seemed to flow, from service to atmosphere to food. From my digestivo of a limoncello (which was superbly tangy), with a black coffee I’d really been looking forward to and was not let down by, to a red wine and then the food arrived... one said they could just eat the pizza pastry with no topping! The Porchetta (two thick slices) was moist and delicious although one did conment that she would’ve liked the crackling to be kept crisp, but it had softened from the meat juices... each to his own. The Mammozza was fresh and delicious and I felt, complemented our other dish choices. These three were plenty for three women to share and I was quite full at the end of the meal. Everything was delicious, service had a friendly vibe without being in your face. I prefer a minimal menu and anyway, it really is all about that Pizza ???? Some people possibly aren’t being aware of cultural difference in service here; the wait staff seem to be all Italian from Italy. I felt we got a wonderful, authentic Italian experience here - with good food and drinks and a smile now and then without any hovering. An enjoyable evening all round and I would recommend a meal here, for really good Pizza lovers and for lovers of that Italian vibe!
I found the staff to be very welcoming and friendly and the pizzas were really good. Great value using The Fork and would definitely go back. Great atmosphere and liked the decor.
We were really excited about trying this place as we love wood oven pizza however sadly our experience was disappointing. Our entree of parsley balls was completely cold but we pushed through as we hoped the pizza might be better. The pizza came out and it was soggy, undercooked and definitely over priced. Lucky we booked on the fork and had 30% off as it wasn’t worth full price.
So tasty! Loved the entree we chose the murinciani which was really great. The pizzas were also really yum we shared three and left feeling very satisfied
Did not apply the 30% discount that we booked with, other than that the food was great. Not that busy despite the fringe being on. Would come back.
Great food and service., especially with how busy it was! Definitely going back sometime soon.
The food was absolutely delicious. Our order was taken quickly. I did have to wait longer than the others on our table for my dish, however, considering that it was ADELAIDE Fringe and really busy, it was understandable.
Amazing traditional pizzas just like those in Italy. The chef was so smily as he busily made everyone’s pizzas in the whole restaurant by himself. Ao nice to see someone happily doing his job. Will definitely be back!
It was a very lovely meal. Our only complaint was that my boyfriends pizza was quite soggy in the middle and it’s quite expensive for what it is. But very nice service and food.
It was a busy night. So understandable that we had to wait a while for food. But when it came out the arancini stuffed eggplants and pizza worth waiting for. Should’ve stopped there as we were disappointed with the Tiramisu. Very heavy and put a dent in the otherwise excellent meal the 8 of us had
Pizza was authentic food delicipus But Service was poor waited a long time Barman drinking on the job in view of customers Not good customer service at all
Great food and atmosphere but but needs to double check on their 30% discount promotion as i was told whilst paying my bill that the discount doesn’t apply during fringe season which did not state anywhere through the app booking. Was given incorrect discount refund in cash after paying full on card....
Wait staff were excellent, considering it was a busy Fringe Saturday night. Although, this should not compromise the quality either.. Combination of toppings were good, but unfortunately dough was under cooked. Will try again on a less busier night.
Great, authentic tasting pizza and conolli - belissimo! Great atmosphere also and even the salad was very good. We were welcomed, waittress was friendly, prompt and helpful.
Service was quick, atmosphere really nice. Could get a bit noisy but only when it’s peak time. AMAZING food for a reasonable price and the staff were really nice. It might be one of our go-to places now.
