Great hospitality, location and amazing food as always! Enjoyed a long lunch and were looked after for hours by the lovely staff. Recommend their rose and silk varieties to pair with the menu.

The salmon was sensational in taste and presentation. The kangaroo was great in taste also, but a little heavy / dense for a summer dish. Service was too notch for a busy Sunday, and look forward to coming back again.

I really wanted to like this place due to its beautiful setting. The food was cooked well also. However, I can’t rate the restaurant more than 2 stars due to their terrible customer service. We repeatedly had to ask for more water and for the table to be cleared. I actually wiped down the table myself as I was unable to get assistance from any staff. As there are many other dining options in the Swan Valley, I won’t be returning.

Great view of the vineyard. Rustic winery. Nice atmosphere and food is good but small serve. Abit pricey. Would go again and recommend to friends.

We went here for my sisters Birthday. While it was busy the restaurant it wasn't full. The staff were not looking after specific tables and I think this was the problem. I ha to get u p to get menus on two occasions and also to order. The fish was overcooked which was a disappointment as the risotto below was good. As I was expecting an amazing experience I personally will not be coming back. They really need to teach there staff how to serve and also clear plates prior to bringing out the next course. Disappointing overall.

I have been to Sittella many times and have always come away feeling like I have received great service and food, on this occasion I felt that the serving size was smaller but still presented beautifully.

The food was really rather amazing but we were disappointed with the service. We would certainly go back and try again because the food really was that good!

This restaurant has it all, world class cuisine, award winning wines, impeccable service and awesome views. If you’re extremely lucky you might even witness a happy couple exchanging their wedding vows in beautiful surroundings.

The views from the balcony during the daytime in Spring are spectacular. Presentation of the plated food is elegantly simple with creative flair.

Service was friendly but slow. Overall food was good especially the black angus steak and good reasonably priced wines too.

Delightful service. Attentive , prompt but discreet. A bit cool due to the breeze out on the deck but it was a sunny day in midwinter.

Kids meals were pretty uninspired. Four of us chose the Sunday roast and it was to be honest less than expected. Meat was a little tough and huge (like a large steak), would have preferred more roast potatoes and veggies. From previous occasions where we have thoroughly enjoyed the food and experience, this one was a little disappointing.

As above. One of the better venues visited in the beautiful Swan Valley. My daughter had her 40th birthday there in March which was a great success and enjoyed by her guests. Highly recommended.

About the restaurant

Hear the Valley Calling

Enjoy the best of the best at this award-winning boutique winery and restaurant named after the small Western Australian bird often sited along the banks of the Swan River that flows through the Swan Valley and past this venue’s front door. Boasting valley and vineyard views from the rammed earth building’s expansive verandah, visitors can stop by the cellar door and enjoy sampling a range of wines to match the food on offer at the restaurant next door. Only open for morning tea or lunch, Sitella is perfect for day trip dining outside suburbia. Diners can choose from a set three course meal or a la carte menu featuring lesser known dishes of wild rabbit and new season mushroom risotto; Morton Bay bug tails Gow Gee with a shiitake and brocollini stirfry, and fenugreek mango butter; and noisette of kangaroo loin with yakadirri potato pikelette and roasted tomato and red onion marmalade.

Best dish: crisp duck leg confit curry coriander broth with jasmine rice and pineapple relish
