Great venue but the one thing was the menu. It states “share” plates but the only share plate was the lamb which was incredible. We also order Salmon & Spatchcock for a table of 9.....but they where only for one person portion. Overall we had a lovely day....the venue is just superb!

Sadly our night started on the wrong foot ,with the staff member telling us our reservation was 6-45 when it was 7.It took ages for staff to come to our table .One of my guest waited an hour for her sparkling water.Mains were late coming out 2 meals came when 6 were nearly finished .Sevice was the worst I’ve seen, the manager however did apologise for his staff .We were given a discount.Unfortunate because the food was fabulous.Next visit will eat in the bar area.

Food was ok, didn’t wow us. Ambience and atmosphere was good and has views of a golf course.

The Lamb tomahawk was very fatty and not much meat on it at all, while the shepards pie could have been bigger. Whereas my wife's chicken salad was delicious. The black forest cake was also delicious, but we asked for icecream in stead of cream, but still got cream. Overall a very pleasant atmosphere and fantastic wash-rooms!

Great cocktails and food was delicious. I have a very fussy friend who was with our group and he moaned about not enough on the menu he could eat but everyone else had a wonderful lunch. Would be a good idea to have specials on at lunch just to allow for a changing bar menu.

About Sitting Duck

You won’t be sitting still. With stunning views of Peats Ridge, The Sitting Duck creates dishes you’re going to love. With the produce coming from the farm and going straight on your plate, you know you’re eating the freshest produce. The Sitting Duck resembles exactly what you’d expect. Sporting modern farmhouse decor, these guys provide an intimate dining experience. The menu changes regularly depending on the season and produce, and caters for all dietary requirements. Divided up into omnivore, herbivore, carnivore and piscavore, The Sitting Duck ensures you have a wide range of items to choose from. We loved the Peking Duck hot dog with spicy plum sauce, grilled pineapple, cucumber and crispy shallots. Best Dish: Thai Milk Tea Panna cotta with frozen berries and Coconut Ice cream
