Cosy in-house (Best Western Plus) eatery

dined on Mon, 27 Nov 2017

The main restaurant at Best Western Plus - shares its name with the Tram Bar - the other eatery at Best Western.

This restaurant looked,on paper, to have something different. Our Dimmi reservation was not passed on to the restaurant, the only blemish. The restaurant was full. We shared the pankoed calamari rings for entree. A mains size arrived and it had been cooked superbly. The pulled pork burger and chicken burger followed. Is a burger just a burger? Not here it is not, and we tasted flavours that we had never experienced in a burger. A house wine or schooner of lager is part of the burger order and for under $20 per burger is great value, complimenting the food well. Staff were attentive, meals arrived together, and there was a good gap between courses. Allow for parking fees as every spot larger than billy cart size is subject to parking fees in Launceston.
