An interesting mix of traditional and pan asian Thai dishes. Thoughtful service. Even has a list of cocktails which is a great addition. Genuine interest in dinners enjoying their evening.
The food is good, the masaman very good. But unfortunately we were there on a Tuesday evening when there were not many other diners - a shame, as in our view this is one of the better Thai restaurants in the area. It deserves a go.
Amazing dinner! The menu is extensive. We really loved all the dishes and highly recommend the jackfruit fried ice cream
Service was good and nice interior
Tonight we had downer at a new Thai restaurant called Soi 25. It used to be Spice I Am. We had betal prawn (????????)for starter. It has ginger, toasted coconut, fried shrimp, peanut, lime, Meang Kim sauce, and prawn on the betal leaf. Tasted just like authentic one. It would be better if there are more pieces of lime so it would break through the sweetness of sauce and makes it more oomph! For main, we had crispy pork Chinese Broccoli. Very flavoursome but I think a bit too salty. Maybe because we don’t eat and cook with too much salt. The second main is braised beef shin and beef tender 5 spices stew. Jono like the soup so much. Beef is so tender too! For me it a bit sweet for sauce. It would be more aromatic if there are more coriander roots and pickle onion. Overall we think is good and we also get 25% discount as a grand opening promotion in August.
We booked last Saturday at 730pm. When we arrived the place only half full. We were escorted to our table amd sat there for 10 mins with no menus, nothing untill we asked to look at menu. Ordered 6 cocktails and 2 bottles of wine. Bit of waiting for cocktails to be made that's understandable. We ordered couples entres and few mains. The batel leaf for entre way too sweet, more like a dessert dish instead of savoury. The scallops dish were good. Then we asked for our mains to be sent out. The first dish Pork belly arrived litterually less than luke warm. Then another 10 more mins for another dish which was chicken cashew nuts, thanks god that came to table with the right temperature. The beef massaman arrived after that, once again luke warm and the carrot and potatoes were rock hard, seems like they just throw in the pot and heat it up with the beef. At that point my friends were already upset and i did ask to speak to manager and response from waiter was thr manager is not here today??? How that could be possible a restaurant in operation on the weekend and has no one incharge? Then again waited at least another 30 mins and our last dish chicken with banana leaf still not arrive. We asked the waiter to cancelled it and get the bill. We have noticed the delivery guys come in and out with takeaway orders. Perhaps should let your kitchen and floor team are really onboard before expanding your business to takeaway(thats slow you down) seriously kitchen team has issues. All the empty cocktail glasses were empty we put them on the side of the table and the floor staff come in and out of the table dont even bother to clear them up. Furthermore we have seen few tables accross from us keep going to your kitchen and asking for their food and they looked very unhappy. I was so excited to invite my friends to go out and try new restaurants all the time. Some good some bad, but this restaurant is far beyond words.
Great restaurant and service. We were lucky to get 25% off due to a promotion, but I will definitely go back regardless.
Food was very fresh and tasty. Very good Thai food. Make sure you check how spicy the dishes are before you order them, unless you are ok with spicy.
