Chase Kojima

Born and raised in San Francisco, Chase Kojima’s passion for food started at a young age under his father, a talented chef, and his grandfather, a fisherman in Japan. His distinct palate was shaped by traditional training and American upbringing. Before opening Sokyo in 2011, Chase led kitchens all over the world for Nobu restaurant group including Las Vegas, Dubai, London, LA and the Bahamas. Chase then moved to Australia and has worked with The Star on various restaurants.

Beautiful ambience with friendly & warm service. The bar was excellent. Food wise, it was good ( only worthy of its price tag when matched with the ambience and overall experience.

I took my Japanese girlfriend to lunch at Sokyo and we were both very impressed with the food and service an absolute pleasure to dine there and friends tell me the bar is one of the best in Sydney so that’s a must try next time we dine there again

The food was amazing as always! My favourite is the tuna and crispy rice and the mochi dessert. Service is impeccable too, our waitress was quite attentive to our needs.

About Sokyo
