INSIDER by TheFork is a carefully curated selection of top tier venues, the ones with hats, the ones that make the top dining guides, and most importantly the ones we know you love!
The Waygu beef robata used to be delicious, but have been replaced by a different beef dish, but was disappointing. We asked for some ice cubes twice, but only got it once.
Excellent choice for our anniversary. The plates were delicious and the surroundings were trendy and vibrant. A little noisy but we had a great time nevertheless.
Great food and atmosphere. Tuna crispy rice is amazing. Food always top quality
I think my favourite Restaurant in Sydney

Excellent food and service
Great food and atmosphere the perfect restaurant for date night
Great service with attentive staff and terrific food
Overall great service, very welcoming and on point. Most dishes were great, but sushi was just a tad above average, we were expecting to be taken back to Japan, but it didn’t quite get there. We had a great time, would certainly return.
Food was amazing, service not so much. There’s usually a delay with bookings which is annoying, booked for 9:30, table ready at 9:50. Ordered lots of cocktails but it was delayed, they even forgot to bring out one round. Overall, worth it for the quality of the food.
Exceptional food as always, special mention to the delicious cuttle fish tempura and yuzu soufflé. Service was friendly and very attentive.
Excellent service, delicious food and very popular. Leave the food selection to the chef and your are never disappointed. Simply love the Kingfish.
For a restaurant that is fine dining, service is average, and slow. When you are paying top dollar you expect service to match.
Great place for a special occasion. The service was great and the food was amazing.
The buffet and breakfast was amazing will definitely go again.
Breakfast was very nice and good service
We went there for breakfast.....good food and great service. We will definitely go again to try their lunch and dinner menus. Highly recommended
Our waiter Adam provided excellent service
Good food and service. We will try the breakfast sometimes. Would be nice to have a noodle dish
Our main waiter showed us very good service; relatable, fun and accommodating. Food is amazing as usual

In the Land of the Rising Sun When it comes to unique Japanese in Sydney, Sokyo has bragging rights. Firstly, their super-star chef Chase Kojima is a California-raised Japanese prodigy cook, who spent the better part of his young life in a kitchen. He’s cooked all over the world and settled in Sydney where he’s developed years worth of special knowledge of the local fish supply. His menu is an ultra-modern fusion of Japanese, pan-Asian and contemporary western cuisine. Sokyo also get to rub in the fact that they’re the only place in Sydney that does Japanese-inspired breakfast. For a truly unique experience, come and enjoy their miso-flavoured eggs Benedict, or their great big "sumo breakfast" featuring a marriage of sausage, edamame and roast potatoes. Mouth watering yet? They also do a la carte sushi and sashimi for lunch and dinner, a bounty of vegetarian choices, and a pre-show menu that surveys all their greats. So take a seat in their moody chic dining room and enjoy the sounds of resident DJ while you let Sokyo treat you. Best Dish: dengakuMan
