The staff named Rashesh was a charm. Loved his service.
Solander had great atmosphere, a perfect spot to catch up with my friend over quality good and drinks. We shared 2 main dishes - the crispy salmon, and barley with artichoke which was delicious. Finished off with the crack pie which is a must-try in my opinion!
Great service and amazing food
Excellent service, great atmosphere and wonderful range of food. The happy hour wine was not up to the standard of the rest of the meal, but we didn't try any of the regular wine list.
No points no review
The food was great but we wait far too long for our main.
The food was absolutely divine! The staff were very warm and friendly. The presentation of each dish was a masterpiece! Only thing they could Improve on was timing, everything took a bit long to come out, but other than that, I couldn’t fault them :)
Salted chicken was Really salty name says it all Surprised with the wallaby dish something worth trying with a heavy red wine Cocktails were excellent thumbs up Ambience and service excellent
The food was very good, delicious and beautifully presented. Contemporary cuisine with some dishes being that just little bit different, they take your interest. We had starters, fauna mains, a side dish and desserts - we really enjoyed each of the courses. Flora mains (vegetarian) are also available. Great value with the Fork’s 50% off food discount. The restaurant has a wide selection of alcoholic beverages and an elegant marble bar. This is a ground floor restaurant attached to a hotel on Sussex Street so the view we had at our table is not spectacular. That said the internal setting and furniture is beautiful, neat and comfortable. The back table was decorated with flowers that looked like Australian natives. The music was modern but not dominating, which is great as we could hear each other - you know, that old fashioned custom of talking to each other over a meal? Wait staff are friendly, pleasant and look after you although we had to wait a little to be seated as there was no one present to greet us on arrival. This place is worth a visit. We recommend the fermented macadamia nut cheese starter, the wallaby shank as mains with Warrigal greens on the side followed by the chocolate mousse or chocolate fondant for dessert.
Nice welcome, atmosphere tended towards romantic with the dim lights. Wait staff were friendly, only minor downside was food took a little while to come out between entrees and mains. Otherwise was very good experience.
Great snapper and crack pie
Thoughtful food but service was a bit slow
Food looks nice and the flavour is average. Service is good, The surcharge is applied to the price before discount instead of what I actually need to pay, which is not understandable.
Excellent food with a strong emphasis on Australian native ingredients. Service, especially from Nana, was first class. Highly recommended.
The charred Moreton Bay bugs with chilli butter and bush tomato was the star of the show! Generous portions for an entree size. The beetroot risotto was delicious! It was creamy and had the natural sweetness of the beetroot mixed with goats cheese throughout each bite. Wow. I would definitely come back.
Service was fantastic. Food was ok. We dinner on a 50% deal and I’m sorry to say if I paid full price I wouldn’t have been impressed. Everything was cold and extremely small. Highly was the desert. Lighting was terrible - couldn’t see what we were eating. Won’t be heading back - sorry.
The portion and quality of the food were really good. The pumpkin tagine was amazing and should try out Crack Pot as dessert! The service was excellent, will definitely come back again!
Great food and service, attention to detail and knowledgeable of the menu
Solander has a menu of dishes with interesting and uncommon flavours. The presentation of the food was beautiful and the vegetarian menu is one of the best I have seen. We loved every dish. The staff were friendly and well informed.
Very nice environment, romantic. Food was average not amazing. Service was great.
