Fantastic atmosphere and great staff .The food was very disappointing for the price paid only 1/3 entree and the shared desert was value for money.

We went on a recommendation from our sons and were very pleased we did so. We were warmly welcomed and the service was friendly and attentive, without be intrusive. The food was wonderful, offering interesting combinations of flavours, great presentation and satisfying servings.

Friendly service, fantastic food and nice ambience for large group settings! Many of us ordered the borek pie and it was the highlight of the night! Will be coming back for sure!

Great little restaurant, a bonus that profit goes to charity. The waygu beef is great. Great service. A really different menu to most places. Will go again

Great fusion menus featuring middle eastern, Asian and Mediterranean. Very delicate and flavours. The 9 course degustation is amazingly reasonable.

It was a good place to eat and hang out with a few friends. The food was ok not he best that I have had. Service was great and cannot complain. I had the pie which was pretty good and interesting. However it was too bland. Nice pastry though.

It was a best friend’s birthday and I had made the booking through the website and added a message to say if a birthday message could be written on the ice cream sandwich dessert plate and it came out after our mains and entrees with a lit birthday candle! Thank you for this!! Made our night! Will come back.

This was our second time eating here and the food and service was just as good. We tried a few new dishes this time around. Everything is so well thought out, beautiful quality ingredients and fantastic service. Absolutely loved our experience here and we'll keep coming back!!

Atmosphere is really lovely and the food is so much better than a passerby might expect. The wine list is really interesting too. Really loved it and will go back for sure. Even better knowing that all profits go towards meaningful programs in the community.

About the restaurant

Located at the southern end of Hyde Park, Song Kitchen is a stylish cafe, bar and dining room, located in the heart of Sydney's CBD.

We are open for early breakfast and coffee 7 days, lunch Monday to Friday and dinner Monday to Saturday.

To suit 'work' or 'pleasure' time frames we offer express lunch, a la carte dinner or shared banquet menus, for groups. The kitchen also offers quality bar food and delicious burgers all day, for those on the go.

Our head chef Liz Mason formerly worked in London & Hong Kong and her cooking style is beautifully elegant and simple with punchy Middle Eastern spice, and fresh, detailed Mediterranean flavours.

Some of our Spring highlights include house-made tagliolini with honey bugs, green peas & tendrils. Lamb kibbeh with toasted grains, garlic toum & parsley. Pasture raised chicken roasted in gravy, couscous, baby turnip and lemon.

“Vegetables too are my great love, fresh garden produce, is really the foundation of my menu at Song Kitchen.”

This is exemplified by Eggplant & halloumi borek pie with walnut chutney & pomegranate. Aushak ravioli, with roast tomato, spring onion & split pea, Green tomato, house-made ricotta, date & hazelnut salsa

The wine list is curated by leading Sydney sommelier Sophie Otton. The key components focus on artisanal Australian producers, alternative grape varieties, with half the bottle selection comprised of female winemakers or estate owners.

Last but not least, did you know Song Kitchen is a profit-for-purpose business that supports social change? Profits from Song Kitchen support YWCA Australia programs and services for women, young women & girls in Australia.
