This hidden gem never seems to fail. The service is Exceptional. They even go the extra mile and serve mock tails to include the kids in fine dining. Food is amazing, cooked on charcoal and oozing with flavour. Every mouthful left us wanting more. Servings are large too, We ordered a platter for 2 for 3 of us to share (2 adults + 1 9yo child) and still have food left over which they kindly packed for us to take home. My only criticism is the wine list, whilst I’m they stock international wines, their range of Australian & NZ wine was disappointing with only 1 of each variety available and pricey. Can’t wait to go back.
The shared platter was lovely - great platters. The service was fine, though the waiters weren’t overly friendly. Considering that we were the only patrons in the restaurant at one point, their service felt a little lacking. Overall though, very nice food.
Anna knows how to make her guests feel special love Sosta’s
Great food and atmosphere
The food is fantastic. Plenty of it and great value. Would go every night if I lived in Adelaide!
Our table had greens, chicken, beef and seafood all of very high standard and flavours. Staff were attentive and had a good understanding of menu and wine list
Excellent food and service, We will definitely be back
Steak was good, it didn't need a sauce, very flavoursome. Tepinades and oysters were a great entree. Staff just need to remember to point out specials
I was seated next to the window and the wind was blowing through so it was a bit cold.
Great food - really fantastic Service was also good - friendly Unfortunately there was a large and very rowdy group of blokes near us (who were crudely speaking and acting). But that’s not Sosta’s fault per-se...just a shame We’d definitely return on the strength of the food
A must do for any trip we take to Adelaide. Sensational meal every time.
Service was fantastic and food cooked to perfection
The food were very tasty with generous potion and service is good and enough. That's the most important thing I'm looking for in a restaurant.
Very nice food
The food was delicious. Despite one of your group not turning up both the Maitre D' and the waitress were knowledgable and friendly. I'll definitely be recommending this place to all my carnivore friends.
Staff were great there when you need them but not in your face. Food superb.
Always great service. Always great food. Still our favourite restaurant in Adelaide!!
Fantastic place, very welcoming, great food and wine.
Mouth Watering meat platters
Food was great, however I had to ask to be served with the first drinks order and we waited aproximately 1 hour to be served our meals after ordering. This wait will stop me from coming again. Service could be better and meals need to be served quicker.
291 Rundle St, 5000, Adelaide, Australia
A little bit of South America in the heart of Adelaide! Three ex hospitality veterans in Adelaide have joined forces to create one of Rundle Street’s most well-loved and long standing restaurants. In a sea of Italian and Greek eateries, Sosta immediately stood out, not only for its beautiful warm and inviting décor, but for the brilliant cuisine and impeccable service. Simple brick walls and dark wooden furniture adds a classy feel to the dining room and having an owner running the kitchen and the other two on the floor mingling with the customers is a unique experience where you can be sure that every desire is fulfilled. The grill provides traditional Argentinean food such as Empanadas, Chorizo and onion and Tortilla on the Tapas menu and beautiful slow roasted duck, Paella and Veal Escalopes on the mains list. No BVYO at this venue but that shouldn’t serve a problem- their wine list has over 130 wines and your hosts are expert in food matching so please just ask. It is most definitely the place for a special occasion or if you wish to experience all that goes with its beautiful linen, subtle lighting and humming ambience. Best dish – Chivito - Young slow braised goat.
