Meet the Chef

Picture of Alessio Di Bari.

Alessio Di Bari

Alessio Di Bari is from Puglia in Southern Italy. The 'Cucina Italiana' has taken Alessio worldwide from Italy to London the Middle East and now firmly footed in Melbourne. Like Puglian cuisine Aleesio likes to keep things simple and not overdone but respecting the produce and the seasons. Commencing with Sosta in February 2019 we are extremely thrilled with Alessio's food to date and we are extremely excited with what is coming next.

Since our last visit, think there is a new chef. The calamari san andrea tasted definitely different and with no squid ink on the plate also looked different. Same wonderful attention to detail with all other dishes.

Amazing service from very knowledgeable, professional team. Save room for dessert - some of the best desserts it's been my pleasure to eat!
Thank you so much for the kind words on your recent experience at Sosta, myself and the team really appreciate it.

The main dishes on the menu should be updated. There is no poultry dish and the pork neck 'special' has been available since May.
Hello thanks for letting me know, I accidentally put up the old menu again last week rather than the new menu. That has been rectified.
